As long as you don't have stone hands, speed is pretty much never over-rated at the WR position.

I wish Dwayne Bowe ran like Usain Bolt, and caught the ball like Randy Moss.

If you have great speed at the WR position, teams fear you, They design gameplans around that player.

ChiefsCountry 04-22-2009 12:07 AM

I think we should get Andre Woodson to play WR for us.

LOL. He's black. So he's really fast.

He is from the spread and isn't a great blocker...he's not overly large, he's not fast. What exactly is going to be his game at the next level?

Oh, I don't know...his ability as a receiver? What ****ing else would matter for a top flight TE? As a Big 12 fan I am going to laugh when Pettigrew and Freeman are drafted in the first round. What a joke.

beer bacon 04-22-2009 12:21 AM

Hahahah, yeah, just draft the TE with the fastest 40 time. Who needs Tony Gonzalez when you can grab Vernon Davis?

Mecca 04-22-2009 12:33 AM

Tony Gonzalez didn't run a shitty 40, if he did he wouldn't have been taken high.

Well trust me. He does now, and right now he is a slow possesion TE. The best I might add.

Yep bill romanowski there is a bad ass. Nice cheap shot.

Mecca 04-22-2009 12:54 AM

I'm sorry it is not a cheap shot, he leads with his shoulder, and to top that off the Penn State guy ducks into the hit.

Guys like Ronnie Lott could have never played in todays game where any kind of big hit is a penalty.

Was he penalized? Even the announcers said it was a cheap shot. I'm curious did he spit in his face when he was down.

Mecca 04-22-2009 12:59 AM

The announcer is wrong...I want to know what he did that was wrong, hit him?

If he had hit him helmet to helmet as the announcer claimed he would have killed him.

Mecca 04-22-2009 01:04 AM

Here are comments on the video on youtube...

NOT HELMET TO HELMET! :58, lead with his shoulders

yeah...bad call, great play...his helmet never touched the psu player...can they throw a penalty for a helmet to helmet on your teammate?

you know, it's actually norwood's fault for ducking down at the end of the play.

Mays had the right angle, as the receiver caught the ball he immediately lowered his body causing mays to hit him in the head instead of his mid section.

He's bigger than Tony G, probably faster and has great hands?

Tony G wasnt a good blocker coming out of college, never really got good at it til DV came here. Then he got a lot better at it.

You can teach blocking.
