Has Cassel yet shown that he can play under center?

To this point, all he's proven is that he can play well out of the shotgun or in the spread.

Here we can watch Mark Sanchez throw the ball and everyone can make their own assumptions this will even help Donger since he probably hasn't seen much...

That's the thing.

In the shotgun or spread, he had remarkable accuracy.

Playing under center, he has yet to show any accuracy consistently.

And having Randy Moss and Wes Welker rack up more YAC for him than any other QB in football.

Possibly, but 3-0 is 3-0. No one cares about a QBs stats when they're winning.

Sanchez certainly has more time to throw. No doubt, but one thing I did notice is that Sanchez gets rid of the ball quicker than Cassel. That may likely be that our WRs just plain suck.

Cassel has always had a problem with holding onto the ball to long it's why he takes so many sacks.

Also Sanchez has much better feet and looks much more comfortable dropping back from center.

Behind our swiss cheese O line, holding the ball for more than 1.7 seconds can have deadly results.

And he has a lot more time than Cassel. Go figure.

Roethlisberger holds onto the ball to long, Manning holds onto the ball to long.

This isn't something only Cassel does.

Mecca 09-28-2009 10:05 PM

Cassel held the ball to long when he played last year why do you think he got sacked 47 times?

Roethlisberger does it but he actually makes plays doing it, and um I don't think I've ever seen anyone say Manning holds the ball to long.

Manning usually has time to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich before he has to get rid of the ball.
