ROFL Good one.

in new england they generally always cheaped by in FA and it was successful so Pioli thinks he can do the same thing here. I just don't see it.

 Talking Clap School of Eternal Flip-Flop much?

The guys who will have a place on a playoff team:

DE:

Dorsey
Jackson
Magee
Gilberry (as your 5th DE only. Probably shouldn't suit up)

NT:

None. Edwards is too old. We need two NTs at some point

ILB:

We have the backups. We don't have the starters, and we can't trust DJ at this point. We need anywhere from 1-2 ILBs and they must be starting caliber.

OLB: We need two guys. You need at least three pass rushers. We have one.

S: Depends on Morgan. Page is a fringe player. We need a starting FS and SS

CB: We need another CB. Could range from a DB to LCB

We need a return man

LT: We're good here
G: We have one guard on this roster. We need at least two more (and that's not counting Waters' replacement).
C: We need two
RT: We need at least one

Richardson could be our swing tackle.

WR 3
WR 4

Chambers gets you by for two years, max.

We need two QBs. Both a quality starter and a durable backup.

We need a RB 2.

We have at least 20 holes that need to be addressed over the next two years.

Was there a worse RT in the NFL?

I saw VERY different numbers.
Checked 2 different sources and both said 4 sacks allowed in 2009.

Not necessarily. I'm just suggesting that I'd rather draft one than sign a 30-year old LB who won't have much left in the tank when it's time to make a run.

In the draft, if I have the choice between an ILB and a WR, I'm going to take the WR if they grade out roughly the same respectively at their positions.
Sure...If it has to be one or the other.
I don't think it does, though.

I don't think the number is that high, but if we have a good draft and add a couple younger FA's...we'd be well on our way.

Which means you HAVE to be active in FA, because Pioli would otherwise have to hit on EVERY PICK for the next three years.

Yeah, I laughed too.

POND_OF_RED 03-07-2010 07:53 PM

Dammit. That's not good to hear. Hopefully he's just stopping by to drop off some playbooks as a personal **** you to Al Davis.

Yeah, I laughed too.

I said at the beginning of FA, I'm targeting:

Atogwe
Ryan Clark
<del>Dunta Robinson</del>
Dwan Edwards
Mike Bell

Even if we were to sign Atogwe, Edwards, and Bell, only one of those three would start, but all would play a significant role.

Good thing no one's arguing against Free Agency.

With a name like LeKevin, you know that surrendor is inevitable.

So, hey, he's a perfect fit.
