I'm a huge fan of this game. What I can't consistently get is games online, it just keeps searching 90% of the time.

opening ports is huge, you may already have it open and its sometimes a pain to find a game on the ps3, but on the 360, its pretty easy to do.

Yeah, I have a PS3. I have no idea how to open ports.

I really like this game. I'm in my 7th year of a dynasty with the Raptors. The first year I traded away all of my assets (DeRozan, Ed Davis, etc.) save for Bargnani, and built a team through the draft.

What I don't get are these things:

1) If I fire my coach, they only ones available are coaches with a D or F potential, so there's no point to fire him

2) Even though my starting 5 now has ratings of 99, 97, 94, 92, and 88 with another 85 and an 83 coming off the bench, my team rating is an 89.

Any ideas?

How many years were you bad? I don't think I could play all those games knowing I was going to lose.

Think it takes you whole team. So if you got some shitty ass dude thats last on the bench thats going to affect the overall team rating big time. At least i think.

I was in desperate need of a new game, after playing the abortion of a game "Homefront" for two days (didn't even finish the campaign). ...huge disappointment for me as I was looking forward to it.

So, i went outside my comfort zone and bought a Basketball game. I know virtually nothing about baskeball in terms of defense/offense etc. I bought NBA live 2010 for like $18. So far I really enjoy it, but after reading reviews of 2k11, i'm seriously thinking of picking that up instead. looking at the videos online, it's like night and day difference between the two games.

...clearly apparent - even for myself who has always suspected as much - that EA sports 'mails it in' each year with their sports titles. I think I'm piciing up 2k11 tonight after work to give it a go.

Yea I'd say do it. Just FYI though 2k11 doesn't seem like your typical game i'm mean there is some strategy involved.

I've looked at rosters for teams that are 97, and I'm higher at every respective position. There are teams that have a rating in the mid 90s that don't have a single player in the 90s, and have multiple players in the 60s.

I simmed the first year, just focusing on bottoming out and developing talent through the progression games once a month.

Titty Meat 03-28-2011 02:07 PM

So after going 1-5 in the last 6 games I made the playoffs as a #2 and i'm about to sweep the Hawks. Go figure.

I do the same thing in Madden. Trade away all the older players, leaving behind a few young cornerstones and build my own team through the draft.

I just bought this game about 3 or 4 weeks ago. I love it. It is absolutely the best hoops video game ever. I mean yeah, 2K8 was great and I like college better. But this game is even better. The presentation, the many game modes, the tutorials...Fantastic! I even played a pickup game last night online using My Player. That is awesome that you can play a pickup game with real people each playing their own My Player over the internet.

I have noticed that some people I have played that are great at playing My Player I have kicked their butts in the online league. They tend to forget that hoops is a team sport.

In my player, i'm in my first season in the playoffs, 53 overall...got drafted by the thunder, and the starting lineup looks like:
PG Me
SG Rip Hamilton
SF Durant
PF Kevin Love
C Perkins
6th man: Westbrook

Pretty badass lineup
