Add Recycled Sounds to your next stop on Main in Westport if you're back this way again. Tons of selections and hard to find stuff. I always like to spend an hour going through the store if I'm down that way.

Thanks!

Man, I still can't place it.

It wasn't by the K-Mart and it wasn't in Metcalf South Mall, right? Was it in the same strip as Venture at the time (where Jack Stack is located) or across the street where the Macaroni Grill (or whatever it is now) was located?

I don't know why I can't remember it.

Yeah it was in the strip that had the macaroni grill and borders.

That's probably why I can't place it. I didn't spend much time over that way during the late 80's, early 90's before I left.

I was trying to remember it from my high school days but it didn't exist then, which is why I couldn't place it.

Thanks!

Oh yeah, on the northeast corner of that block of shops.

I didn't discover it until I got a car. Until then I was relegated to walking to Oak Park mall and buying from Sam Goody and Camelot.

Yes, Streetside had a few of them actually. There was even a Streetside Records about 90th and Metcalf, where the old Glenwood Theater used to be. And I think they even had a store in Lawrence at one time.

The original Streetside was down in Westport. I used to go in there waiting for the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Dane being Dane, I told her I thought he was a dickless Douchetard but her being a chick, she disagreed.

Dumb Chick - 0

heh, nice. well, at least I got over that one. I may not have flawless taste in music, but I can rest easily at night knowing I'm not one of those adult tards who wears ICP gear around.

It was pretty well Camelot at Bannister Mall for me until I could drive. I still went there for convenience, but did shop more at 7th Heaven, Streetside (in Westport), Penny Lane and Recycled Sounds.

Can't remember the very first album (Santana?, Doobies?) but this was one of my firsts. Freaky cover for that time.

I did not buy them but the first two albums I owned were given me by my older sister. Janis Joplin live and Led Zeppelin 2~

I'm guessing it was around 1975 and had to be one of these albums:
