Writer-director Frank Darabont (“The Shawshank Redemption,” “The Green Mile,” “The Mist”) says the rumor of an early 13-episode second season order for his AMC zombie series “The Walking Dead” is only a rumor.

The filmmaker seems particularly startled at the idea that season two would start production only a month or two after he completes season one.

“Shooting in February? As tired as I am right now getting season one through post, I'd rather shoot myself,” Darabont tells Ain't It Cool.

The six-episode first season of “Walking Dead” launches Halloween night on AMC.

I have been reading a quite few of these and this can be a great show can't wait.

Who would you (anyone) cast as the Governor? Doesn't have to be realistic. Any actor in Hollywood is an option.

Just ordered the compendium after reading my son's volume one. Looks awesome.

Sadly, the artist who did the first six issues (volume one) couldn't keep going on the series. The guy who replaces him eventually makes it his own, but it can be quite a contrast at first.

IMO, they are both great. Moore had more detail, but Adlard makes it grim as ****, and he's faster too.

Why the **** does everyone always default to Trejo? I would hate Trejo as the Governor because he's too damn old. The Governor is in his 30s (maybe early 40s).

I really don't know who they'll get to do it, but if they get to that point, that means it would have had probably about 4 seasons, so I'm all for it.

Maybe older than the comic guy, but how about Edward James Olmos
