All day, and no one has come up with a flea flicker in the history of the NFL that resulted in a batted down checkdown pass with the QB back up in the pocket, until last week.

Unless you count the 'numerous times' in 'recent years' the best QB of the area did that.

doesnt matter. happened because the wr was covered.

and again MM I dont blame it on albert.

but i also dont blame cassel.

the wr was covered which ****ed the whole play.

The fact is, Cassel has to see a D-Lineman that isn't engaged in a block and has to adjust for that.

Brodie is the best we have. Throw him in there, if he gets hurt then put casshole in,

Albert got himself in position to make the block.

That is on Cassel.

You can do this all day, but you'd still be wrong.

milkman 08-29-2010 07:04 PM

The fact is, Albert did his job as well as anyone can ask.

It is the QB's responsibilty to be aware of passing lanes, and Cassel did not have a lane where he threw the ball.

Because the defender, as soon as Albert gets his hands up, moves sideways and back, and the only thing Albert can do at that point is reach for him, which would have resulted in a hold.

Shit, just selected some keyword blocks "Cassel sucks" "bitching about Cassel" "Cassel didnt do this or failed to do this" on the FFvb and guess what?

Almost every thread disappeared from the board....

You could have the thread talk about how the grounds keeper messed up the endzone and it would turn into a Cassel thread...

Jesus he sucks, we cant change it, but could we please talk about something other than whipping that dead horse. Its like people have posts on notepads and they just copy and paste them into different threads...

Brock 08-29-2010 07:50 PM

Can we please stop whining about the people complaining about Cassel? Jeez.

well just have to agree to disagree here.

albert, to me, looked hesitant and nonaggressive. just trying to put his body in the way.

why did he stop his feet? keep running and truck that linebacker out of the play.

I'm mainly concerned about the people who are whining about the people whining about the people who are whining about Cassel.

It's like a gigantic, endless daisy chain of despair.

Albert was initially doubling down when he saw the D-Lineman break away from the middle and work around to the edge.

He came off his initial block and was just preparing to engage the D-Lineman when Cassel released the ball.

He hadn't even had a chance to fully engage him in a block yet.

funny with the dumbass not knowing what they are talking about and the defender was a linebacker, not a lineman.

Ironic coming from the guy who did the same thing with Herm Edwards.
