Florio has been really bad mouthing haley all week. he was just on the radio and picked baltimore to beat kansas city and just whored out haley for a decent minute or so. florio pretty much said, verbataim, that haley is a coach that think's he's bill parcels, hasn't won anything, hasn't played, has a randy moss-like attitude problem, and needs to be humbled and anybody that picks KC over Baltimore doesn't understand football. pretty abrasive for a nerdy guy that did cookie cutter/coloring book websites from his basement.

Nobody even argued about the chiefs or Todd Haley. Whitlock argued that Pioli deserves credit for the way the team is being built. He mentioned that includes staying away from players that aren't from solid families. The entire argument was Whitlock being realistic and the rest of the crew not liking how the realism sounded wrt to racial stereotypes etc.

I'm pretty sure the crew was well aware of the fact that one of the main reasons he was on the show was because he called out Haley publicly in one of his articles.

This was a lot more about discrediting Haley than it was crediting Pioli.

And Whitlock is dead wrong. Dwayne Bowe and DJ were two formerly uncoachable players who are finally realizing their promise. And if the players hated Haley so much, then why would DJ and Charles sign extensions despite very productive seasons?

JoPo is a talented writer. Whitlock is a dime a dozen writers.

I suppose Whittles is "talented" ... maybe. A lot of people seem to think so, anyhow.

For me, though, it's very difficult to get past the absolutely inane subjects and opinion and appreciate the writing beneath. I have to say, however, that his last article (the Haley is a baby one) didn't seem particularly well-written, either from the standpoint of syntactic maturity or fluency.

Is it possible that many Star readers believe him to be talented simply because he compares well to the alternative pap?
