Going out and getting plastered the night before a game is pretty stupid. After a night of getting hammered, I need at least 24-48 hours to recoup before Im good to go.

Sounds like Todd needs to get a grip on his team if thats the case.

pussy! :p :p :p

Agree. It's bullshit if they're doing it.

That's what I'm saying. 24 hours won't do it. I'd say a week is probably about what would get you back to where you were before you got hammered. That's if you're taking care of yourself. But that's just my experience. No science involved.

So in your professional opinion, no professional athlete has ever gotten drunk during a season and performed well? Or would it be safe to say, that not everyones bodies react the same? Since you admit, you have never played a sport professionally.

When I go out and get hammered, my body isn't the same for at least 2-3 days. Maybe even a week for total recovery. Its a big reason why I dont go out and get hammered routinely. It affects my recovery time way too much. Gym sessions are never the same either. So I keep my drinking to a minimum. .

That's a worthless stat.

I'm 47 years old, 175lbs and 97.5% body fat and I can tell you that I feel like crap for 2-3 days after getting hammered too. :p

reason for optimism:

Pass rushing rank:

NE tied for 24th
PITT tied for 10th (also tied for 10th was Miami)
CHI tied for 24th
NYJ tied for 18th
GB are 17th

Reason for pessimism:

all of them will be ranked higher after playing us.

I have no professional opinion.

I have never professionally played a sport.

However, athletes can go out and get drunk and still play, perhaps even play well. But it is nowhere near what they are capable of.

It affects reaction time, explosiveness, and focus. Players may react differently, but nobody is getting smashed the night before and playing their best at noon the next day.

1 of them was Stanzi, for obvious reasons.

No one is saying you need to overreact to this loss on its own, but you damn well better acknowledge that it's the 3rd ****ing time this season this team has shown up not ready to play. You seem like you want to ignore that pesky little fact.

Hammock Parties 11-07-2011 12:26 AM

Just watched the first series for offense and defense.

We looked good. They came out with plenty of energy and effort.

We flat out were not prepared and did not adjust. Poor coaching and preparation.
