Not THIS.

Having kids, and being a Father is the greatest experience in my life. I had a lot of fun before I became a Dad, but NOTHING will ever match the feelings I get watching my kids grow up and actively being in their lives. I would not trade that experience for any amount of guilty pleasures or all the money in the world.

Don't get married. Buy a dog instead. If you get mad at the dog you can kick it or throw it outside or lock it in a closet.

With a wife? Not so much.

So yeah, buy a dog.

Oh and if you get lonely, buy a dog AND a jar of peanut butter.

I'm just sayin' ...

So . . . if I already participate in the bolded part, does that translate very well into married life? I mean, I'll have to readjust my priorities and all . . .

had a funeral in the family last week, and i found myself playing host to 9 women staying at our home for 3 days. my personal shitter was confiscated by my wife. ****ing hair blowers, curling irons and makeups out the ass. top it all off, she hooks up one of those scentsy candle things that smell worse that any odor i can produce in there.

plus, she hid my magazines and moved the tp holder to a corner where i throwed out my back just trying to wipe my ass:mad:

yes, separate bathrooms is a must.

Life is too short to not enjoy.
Appreciate those around you because some mornings, the phone rings and they no longer are.

network network network. If you're in college, introduce yourself to everyone in the building of your major, talk to anyone you can, build relationships. In the professional world, these relationships will help you so much in the future. I can't say this enough. If you are young in your career, the same thing applies. Build relationships at conferences, schools, classes, meetings, competition....If I'm learning anything, it's sometimes WHO you know that counts, because sometimes people you know, know people who know what you need to know.

Don't get married before 30. Don't get married to someone you've dated less than a year. it's not a race, pick the right one, the first time if you can. Have your fun, do your adventures when you're young and able, and know in your heart that you're ready to settle down when you do.

When you're getting ready to do something stupid and the little bird on your shoulder says "this is stupid"....listen. Someday you'll be 38, on a wet cold day and wish you had listened to the previous line.

Everything Chitown said....My kids are everything and if you're not someone with that in your life, I am sorry you don't know what it is you're missing. I've yet to have a problem that didn't seem better when a small kid screams Daddy running across the room to tackle your legs as the door opens from a bad day. I enjoy other things in life, but as far as I'm concerned, this is the meaning of life.

Finally, be honest and decent to those around you, and you'll never go wrong.

You can thank me later, when all your friends have to do stupid shit they don't want to do and you're floating on the lake or whatever.

That didn't stop me and I am glad it didn't. My kids were a big part of our boating, water skiing and drag racing.

The thread starter sounds like he has his shit together and in order. I would say, save some money an pay yourself first every pay day.

There are few things in life worse than a dirty ass and a throwed back.

There seems to be blessings in tithing. Don't understand exactly how it works but doesn't hurt to show good nature to others less fortunate & the big man uspstairs tends to bless those who do that. Don't even have to believe just do it & find out for yourself.

You have 15 of your best years ahead of you. Enjoy each day like it's your last. Save for the future. But DON't put your money in the stock market right now. Buy bonds/gold/real estate.

Oh man....I have tons of advice for you young guys. Tons!

Wish I could remember some of it.
