The end of the second Bob Newhart show was the ultimate in mind bending cross-platform show bending.

On a different note, I wonder who the most famous unseen television character is. Jenny Piccolo? Bob Saccamano? Carlton the Doorman? Vera Peterson? Maris Crane? This may be worth a poll.

Yeah, definitely the best series ending ever, and one of the top TV moments ever. If not the very top. It came totally out of the blue.

He was a lucky guy. Both his TV wives were hot!

We got to see Carlton, but only after he had shape shifted into a new form and changed his name.

I love that kind of stuff.

Back in the 1970s, Barney Miller and Taxi were back to back in the lineup. Near the end of one of the episodes of Barney Miller, a group was watching TV when someone else arrived. Dietrich said, "Sit down and watch. Taxi's on in five minutes." I found that exceedingly clever and mind-bending.

Have you seen the snippets of the cast of Cougartown using their hiatus to pop up in the background of a bunch of shows. They're kind of great.

Ironically, someone created this for you just over a week ago.

I don't even know what Cougartown is, to be honest. So background cameos may be lost on me. Sounds like a good concept, though.

Interesting, but George Steinbrenner at #2? He was a bit player for a small part of the series. No way.

Stan of Will & Grace was a good one, and Charlie is a good choice high on the list, too.
