An over the hill team getting older doesn't seem to make much sense.

5 years ago this would have been a much bigger deal. Still, it can't hurt LA to try it.

Sure, because adding the aging ex superstar is always is the key to putting you over the top.

I have visions of Barkley and Drexler as Rockets and Malone and Payton as Lakers dancing through my head right now. I just don't see it working out at all if that's all they do.

Ouch. Nash may have a little more in the tank than they did unless his back injury worsens.

I don't remember any pg's that old that played at a high level. They need to do more then just add him if they want to make a run. He's also somewhat a product of the system. His numbers should really be down playing in a more 1/2 court system.

Nash will be 39 next season.

Kobe has more miles on him then Frankie's mom.

Gasol is a pussy.

Bynum can't stay healthy.

I'm just not seeing it unless they get Howard somehow which I doubt

Bynum played through the whole season without an injury last year in a rushed condensed season. Its a start. N ot to mention he played way way way more minutes then he's ever played in his 7 year nba career. He's in the best physical shape he's ever been in. When he's not injured kid puts in alot of training.

Kobe takes care of his body and is in great shape as always.

Cant argue with Gasol, he's a pussy and he frustrates the hell out of me.

I dont want them to get Dwight because its iffy. If they gamble and it fails, its just to big a damn risk. Coming of a serious back injury that had to have surgery, may not be ready to start the season, which means he's not going to be able to practice with the team at all really. Then the fact that he dont know what the **** he wants to do and the team that he wanted to go to moved the **** on.

Its just to big a damn risk. Bench is a huge concern, but with who they have now, i think they can sign a few decent ring chasing veterans.

LeBron punking Kobe's ass in the Finals will be well worth it.

Nash a product of the system?

He's played in 3 different systems from Nelly to D'Antoni to Alvin Gentry.

He had minimal talent on last year's Suns and still put up 12/10.

I wouldnt say those systems are that different. All three systems focus on running the floor offenses, 2 of them are very small ball systems where you can find shooting guards at powerfoward and undersized centers.

All 3 systems have no emphasis on good defense. Nash has pretty much been doing the same run n gun offense his entire career and I'd say the last 5 years has benefited from what I understand to be the best training staff in the NBA/pro sports in what they have on the Suns. Everyone from Nash, Shaq, Grant Hill, you name it praises that staff for keeping them fresh at 1000 years old.

Uh yes, in this case...it is. They are instantly WAYYYYY better than they were last year and could contend with what they have now

BUT

I wouldn't say it quite puts them over the top, that'll happen when they trade for Howard.
