Not photoshopped. Shots of that were tweeted before the game.

This is where I wish Clark actually had a bigger ego and would take this to heart. But Clark isn't that type of guy, he doesn't have an ego. He looks at it like a business and as long as he isn't in the red, he won't care.

suzzer99 10-29-2012 10:38 PM

I didn't even care that we got beat at home by the Raiders. That's something I've never felt in 30+ years of being a Chiefs fan. Way to kill one of the best rivalries in sports Pioli, you arrogant ******* douchebag egomaniac ****.

Agreed.

The only game we have won against Oakland in the last 3 seasons....Kyle Boller started.

He didn't prove it wrong 4 years ago when he went out and bought the NFL's golden boy to be GM?

Yeah ... I have to say that, in spite of the hyperbole we hear all the time, there's no clear evidence that Clark is a "tightwad". For all we know, he has been true to his word that he gave Pioli the freedom to spend money as he sees fit.

And, Mr. Phobia is right. Clark certainly didn't skimp on Pioli's salary.

I remain convinced that Clark wants to win. I think that's why he hired Pioli in the first place (unaware, of course, of Dr. Evil's alter-ego) and why he was willing to listen to Dr. Evil's advice to sign Cassel long-term and pay out the nose for Tyson Jackson. I'm further convinced that Carr left because Carr wanted out (and he's a Herm draft pick which means Pioli is less motivated to keep him), not because Clark was unwilling to part with the moolah-ha.

At this point, I think the scrooge label is unfair. Or, at a minimum, premature.

Clark has written the checks. Pioli has given them to the wrong people.

120 million in contracts to Tyson Jackson (57 million) and Matt Cassel (63 million)

Scott Pioli let Carr and Orton walk in the same offseason he restructured Tyson Jacksons contract in a way that he will make 22 million this year and next.

[x]
4/21/2012: Signed a two-year, $21.97 million contract. The deal contains $4 million guaranteed, including a $2.5 million option bonus. Another $500,000 is available through playing-time incentives.

How is that even possible?

That RIGHT THERE is PROOF that Clark has given Scott Pioli a ****ing blank check to run this team and Pioli is clueless as to how to go about building a winner.

The guy makes a terrible pick taking the guy and then, doubles down on the fail by restructuring him for more money. All while letting a superior player (Shaun Smith) walk for PEANUTS.

The guy makes a failed trade for Matt Cassel and doubles down on the fail by not even
attempting to sign or draft an upgrade to the pos. While letting a superior player walk for QB peanuts.

Phobia 10-30-2012 12:45 AM

"doubles down"

ABsolutely THIS. I was there yucking it up with a Raider fan right behind me. The whole game was nothing but a joke. But I yelled and screamed until it was clear the Chiefs were not going to do anything. That was about 10 seconds into the 3rd qtr.

I think Clark feels just as duped as evey one here about Pioli. He looked at the rings Pioli had with NE and had a gleam in his eye for the Lambardi trophi. No way could he have forsaw this debacle comming, now he has to figure out just what to do but also has to figure out where it all went wrong and I don't think he wants to make the same mistake twice so he is taking his time to figure out just what to do imo.

Clark has stood up to the media for the fans after the Eric Winston comments. Clark is on our side I believe he is and wants this thing turned around or jobs will replaced. He has nothing to gain by keeping Pioli only butthurt fans to listen too and that is going to play into his desision along the way. Can't tell me he doesn't want a rocking Arrowhead Stadium after the rebuild and cost of the stadium he spent on that. I feel for Clark right now, he is a victom of being duped along with a fan base that at the time was just happy that Carl Peterson was fired and any one we got was going be a God send. How can we do worse than Herm? Well we got Romeo Crennell that's how. Scott Pioli has done all he could do to bring in guys he was familiar with to stay in his comfort zone and do it his way. That's how we got in this mess.

This is the same owner that wanted to keep Herm around when Pioli was hired.

In this case I think it's that they shared the same belief in building the team through the draft. That's how I think it should be done but starts with the QB from the draft. Herms problems were game day but he was good at the draft. The proof there is the guys that were left over are still our best players. I'd take Herm over Romeo Crennel.

A big problem Herm had was our O-line got old and Carl Peterson didn't address this problem before it became a problem. They thought they all had another season in them but then Roaf and Shields retired too they weren't prepared for that.

I kind of wish we could have kept Herm for bringing in players and getting a top QB. Herm was a better coach than the team he was given at the time. He got us to the playoffs, he won playoff games with the Jets did he not? So yeah I think Herm is better than what we have had since. I don't want him back don't get me wrong, but his teams wearn't getting blown out on a consistant bases either like they have been the last couple of years.

Herm for GM then. Drafting was the only thing he was good for as a Chief.
