I didn't what to say this, but I would be lying if I said I wasn't thinking this.

What if this baby isn't his?

sadly all of sudden there may be aunts and uncles seeking custody when they find out the NFL will be giving some $...

I'm considering applying for custody as well. It seems like it's a pretty good deal.

This could be a big thing here once the lawyers get involved.

Yeah, its not like the NFL is doing this out of the goodness of their heart--its part of the CBA. Although most life insurance has exclusions for suicide. It could be part of a survivor benefit related to his accrued pension. Just a guess.

I read somewhere in the 50 Belcher threads that he asked Pioli if him and Hunt would make sure his little girl was taken care of, before killing himself.

I doubt Pioli explained to him that the rules of the CBA already have this addressed, so I wonder about that, or if they are doing anything extra?

I just think there should be more done to speak out and help prevent both domestic abuse and mental illness, depression etc, as this is nothing new in the NFL or everyday life for some people dealing with it in every city.

Every tragedy needs something positive to help prevent it from happening again.
For instance, after DT died there was a big thing about wearing seatbelts, and I know it made me think about it and make sure everyone I knew was aware how it could save a life.

It would be a real positive if our team could take the lead in trying to fix this problem.

I am glad the little girl is taken care of, and wish all kids thrust into that type a situation could be taken care of as well.

Belcher's child will be supported by the NFLPA

Keitzman talking about it now.

Under the current CBA, she will get $9000 per month for the next 4 years. She will then get between $48K and $50K per year until she turns 18 (or 23 if she attends college).

Where? If it's buried in one of those other ridiculous threads, it's not a repost.

I always wonder where the post goes when something like that happens. I wonder if your post is now orphaned in the DB somewhere.
