sooo... are all these gms and coaches going to toot their own horn about knowing that russel wilson was going to be awesome? If they were so high on him they would have ****ing picked him before the 3rd. These ass hats just like to talk themselves up. pricks. |

The fact of the matter is that several coaches have been lucky to have certain QBs land in their laps. I do not think Kolb is anywhere near elite, but he made Kolb into a solid quarterback that played well within his system. That's what a QB guru does, he gets good play from the QB position. Andy Reid has consistently had that during his head coaching tenure. Serious question: If Andy Reid doesn't qualify, who are the quarterback gurus in this league? |

Plain and simple though, Andy Reid works well with quarterbacks. |
The team is going to do whatever they are going to do regardless of what anyone says. Theres no reason to stress over it. This is just school yard gossip. Whocares what outsiders say. Let them.

I'm not even gonna respond to the rest of it. It's not worth arguing about because neither of us is going to change our mind. |
Kevin "well he's better than Cassel" Kolb.
This fanbase is AMAZING. |
To say Reid found 2 starting QBs after the 1st round is pretty ignorant, IMO.
Kolb has been a massive flameout as a starter, and Foles has not at all proven to be an NFL starter, despite that he started in place of a flailing Mike Vick. Certainly quality starting QBs can be found outside the 1st, but their example is a poor one (or two). If we don't take QB #1, I do believe we are gonna have to trade back into the low 20s to get Wilson, Barkley, or whomever they do like. Best I see falling to #34 is Nassib, and I'm not real impressed. |
Here's the rub: While there may not be a QB that is head and shoulders above the other QBs in this draft class, there really isn't a player at any position that is head and shoulders the other players. If they are all the same, then pick your damn QB with the #1 pick. The only player that would make me change my mind about drafting a QB with the #1 pick isn't even eligible for the draft: Jadaveon Clowney.
If he somehow challenged the three year rule and won, then, and only then, would I say draft the best player who isn't a QB. |

They are with a percentage point of each other in career completion and QBR. Cassel DESTROYS Kolb on TD:INT ratio, however. 1.44:1 for Cassel. 1.12:1 for Kolb. |

I simply told you that Andy Reid's quarterbacks have played well within his system. And now you're trying to deflect by putting words in my mouth. If you don't want to call Reid a QB guru, fine. |
peyton manning developed himself no other coach if anything his father developed him.
|
poor Reid. Damn if does, damn if he doesn't
|
What a bunch of you are forgetting he was the qb coach at green bay
He developed Favre, Hasselback, and Brunell |
I see Reid like a not-crazy version of Mike Martz.
Several QBs under Martz had at least some kind of success (Bulger and Green for example). But Warner was the only real success story. |
