Yes.

I think it's more likely that they swap with Philly and get Foles in return but I just hope they trade down and gather more picks.

There are so many guys that could have immediate impact, from Eifert and Ertz to Tavon Austin and so on.

If they aren't going to go QB, my #1 hope is to trade down a bunch and take Eifert.

They took Rodgers late in the first with their own pick...and they did not trade for Favre. That is a horrible comparison.

They traded a second round pick for Favre back in the day.

No way Reid is committing to Alex Smith long term.

Better luck next year, jagoff.

We had our differing opinions last week, but I like this. Totally agree...makes perfect sense.

NFL Draft rules:

Rules:

•For the first round, the team picking gets 10 minutes to submit a player's name to be drafted.
•If the time expires before the pick is submitted, the next team can begin to submit their pick, but the team who's time expired can still submit their pick at any point
•Any team's draft picks can be traded at any time

I wonder if this will be the first time in NFL history a team actually PASSES on the 1.1.

KC can pass, but at the same time have the next bunch of teams on the phone and ready to make a deal. Get some panic introduced into the other top-five.

Green Bay traded a first round pick, #19 overall, for Favre.

Maybe they swap with the Eagles and take Geno/Barkley at #4. The Eagles need a LT and now they can trade up to grab one at #1.

I wonder what the relationship is like between AR and Kelly. Last I heard reported on CP was that Reid expressed interest in Foles and Kelly asked too much.

That would make me believe that AR really isn't too high on the prospect of dealing with Philly. Who knows?

Most of us know the Geno Smith scenario isn't likely. That doesn't mean it should be ruled out, because as of right now, they have complete freedom with the #1 overall. They can draft anyone (aside from a tackle) and it will look like a solid move.

That is the best part about today. It removes the depression of wasting a pick on a LT.

RunKC 03-04-2013 04:04 PM

Geno fans will be disappointed.
