I'm going to laugh if this rating system proves flawless in the end.

Calvin Johnson usually rapes cornerbacks, but man..what he did to Carr probably goes past rape. Right now, dollar for dollar, Smith is much better than Carr. |

Computer simulations don't calculate "heart" and the Chiefs have a ton of it. The core of this team has had to endure the lowest of lows that a team can sink to.
Besides losing all but 2 games last year they had a teammate commit murder/suicide on their stadium parking lot. You would be hard pressed to get slammed harder then that. So after that unbearable season the owner brings in a proven leadership team. They all experience something they hadn't known in years.... hope, optimism, A CHANCE TO WIN!!! Hell yes they are motivated. I really don't give a crap about what anybody thinks they are fun to watch. |

We play Denver twice, San Diego twice, Indianapolis, and @Bills @Raiders @Redskins. 5 of our remaining 8 games are tough as hell, and there's a chance one of those 3 currently sub .500 teams will be fighting for a playoff spot and playing at home.

Vegas insider lists the Chiefs at -4.5 favorites in Buffalo. Sagarin has the implied spread at -7.6. Take off 3 for being on the road and you get.....well. Everyone can do the math.

Not sure why people care so much about ratings.. the next few weeks will tell us all we need to know. Let the season play out.

Stuff like Sagarin ratings are there to make you feel better about the games you lost while you watch someone else in the playoffs.

Sadly no one takes Sagarin seriously (including the BCS) except for PB. I don't get what posting Sagarin rankings hopes to accomplish.
