Straight loss. And they just made it where you can add 3percent on a card to cover it but customers dont like it.

I usually only do that on a big ticket, I put a motor in last week and told the guy he would have to pay the fee or figure out another payment method.

7 grand job and would have cost me a couple hundred give or take...**** that

Pass on the cost to the consumer....that's the way of the big business companies!

Good on you for not wanting to do it normally.

Yea...This is true. Some random Indian dude explained the process to me during our transaction. Every time they swipe a card, they are charged a certain fee from the company they use to process debit/credit transactions. That fee is charged whether or not the transaction is completed. Therefore, you walk in there, swipe your card for five dollars worth of soda and chips, and you're card gets declined because you're a shitbag with no money, that store owner still gets charged for swiping that card.

Similarly, if you only buy a fifty cent bag of crackers that they're making a 20 cent profit off of, and the debit/credit transaction fee is 25 cents, they're losing five cents by selling you that bag of crackers via debit/credit.

Exactly.

They make it really hard for small businesses to survive.

SAUTO 09-01-2014 10:46 AM

Worst transaction ever was when one of the guys accidentally put in 5000 instead of 500 then refunded it immediately. That minute. The money never changed hands since it batches at midnight. Since he did a refund rather than a void I had to pay the fees on 5 grand AND on 500.

I lost my shit over that one, not at the employee he didn't know hell I would have never guessed, but at the company.they wouldn't budge either, had been with them for 5 years. THEN I tried to cancel services since I had originally signed a 5year contract, it had been up the mont prior. That's when I learned they dont let you go no contract they just automatically renew it for a year. VERY fine print there. Had a new provider in the next week and they got their monthly fees for the next 11months and got booted.

They actually called me then and offered a good deal and I told them that they should have offered that first off and they could gon**** themselves, sent them a picture of my newborn playing with their equipment

Gay Day With Clay IV: Pizza Adventure!

You know, I actually have a friend on Facebook that posted something from his bank account. Apparently, his bank charged him a fee for using his card too many times in a month period LMAO

I'm not sure if it's true or if I saw it correctly but I had a chuckle at that.

Then the banks charge you if you don't have enough money in your account (like at least $250 or something). Or if you overdraw from your account.

They charge you money for not having money.

They charge me on my business account after so many transactions, which every check written or TAKEN and deposited is a transaction. It's free up to like 250 transactions so they charge me every month because I go over that. To get up to 500 free I would have to keep 30 grand in the account at all times. I have better things to do with my money than let it sit in that account.

Hey! Did you ever make it to Pizza Glen?

It's not that good. Its solid but driving to Clinton is not worth it.

I don't live too far from there, 30 minutes. We drive that far quite often to eat, Sedalia and Clinton are about the same distance, and I dont go there. calgaros here and in cole camp is much better.

You're insane. When I was in Warrensburg, I'd happily drive 30 minutes for it. It's 94 percent on Urbanspoon.

You read Sauto's response? He lives right there and doesn't go there. If you are going to Clinton sure, there's little else and it is a 8 on a 1-10.

Donger 09-01-2014 11:44 AM

I'd like to suggest a golf outing next time. Or perhaps one of those indoor go-kart activities.
