Definitely! Unfortunately for me, it was when I was 25. I realized it was never gonna get any better. I didn't want to be one of those guys that look like a clown. I went from long hair to completely bald in about 30 minutes. Been that way ever since. I don't put any lotion or anything. Just shave it with a Schick Xtreme 3 and Barbasol aloe shaving cream 2-3 times a week.

I rotate between a Headblade w/their shaving 'slick', and a Dollar Shave Club 'executive'. Both work well. I keep my full beard trimmed about 1".

Bald men look smarter and are perceived as such.

In my professional life, every Manager/Mentor that I look up to the most is bald. I do high level shit.

Studies also show they're perceived as more masculine, taller, and stronger. (The same study says, however, they're also perceived as less attractive.)

Yes indeed. Likely around 40, as what happened to me.

It starts to get like this in your 30's....

Then, you are down to this by your late 30's - early 40's...

Until finally, you realize it's time to just go with this, and be done with it...

The transition is easy and actually liberating, but it really helps if you have a good looking noggin to pull it off. Just takes a few minutes with Wahl or ConAir clippers.. no attachments needed. Works well with a constant 3-5 day beard.

On a serious note, I don't understand why I'm not almost bald.

My cousin has entered that zone of "holy shit you have hair but you would look better without hair." He and I are the same age. They say baldness is hereditary on the mother's side, so, since he and I share similar genetics on the mother's side...shouldn't I be going bald? My grandpa was also practically bald by my age.

No. But you did say you have thin hair. You just got part of the gene. I guess.

It's very fine and wispy, but it's always been that way. That's why I use product.

Did you forget what forum you're on? If not you're doing it wrong.

That's exactly how my hair was even before it started thinning. If I didnt use product it woud look all gay and fluffy. I wore hats a lot, too lazy to mess with it all the time and I hate hats.

Looking for tips, tricks, etc. for getting a really smooth shave and keeping burn and bumps to a minimum.

Thanks in advance.

Haha, that's similar to what happened to me. I went swimming with dolphins on vacation and saw the overhead video and was like, "What?! Is that what my head looks like?!" I've been shaving it ever since.

As for keeping burn and bumps to a minimum, this stuff is the best. I've tried a million different kinds of creams and gels because I'm prone to razor bumps, and this is by far the best I've ever used.
