Taveras isn't even good enough to start on the cards

That should tell you something right there

Hootie 10-23-2014 07:31 PM

Taveras is an uber elite prospect that is going to be a perennial all-star

he also plays RF

Gordon/Cain/Taveras

Yeah, ok.

He's also a middle of the order bat.

So uh....

Yeah.

Great ****ing deal for us.

Prison Bitch 10-23-2014 07:32 PM

It's utterly amazing you're still dying on that hill. Your pride continues to totally embarrass you. Don't get mad at me - all I did was hand you the rope.

Hootie 10-23-2014 07:33 PM

Ha.

You can't talk to anyone. You gave up on the season before the season started. So uh, you're dumb.

This really isn't much of an answer, but you are the only one to respond.

Most people are arguing that Dyson is great centerfielder, that Aoki is actually a defensive liability, and they are even offensively.

That would seem to make it an easy decision to start Dyson every day, yet they don't. I'm just wondering what they see that we don't.

Who is saying they are even offensively?

The way Aoki has been hitting I wanted to go that way last night. I really want at ATT. Right Field is a nightmare. Would feel much better with Cain out there.

Hootie 10-23-2014 07:40 PM

well if that's Ned's thinking, I agree

our defense is certainly better with Dyson in the lineup

You claimed "Dyson isn't a great outfielder", which is entirely disprovable and dumb even by your lowly standards.

Aoki knows what he is capable of at the plate much more than Dyson. His approach is much more focused and planned. Dyson can get there eventually but I think I still prefer sticking with the lineup we have been using as to not mess with what's working.

Read thread.
Some comments were made in another thread as well.

I'm not trying to be argumentative. The general consensus seems to be that Dyson is MUCH better defensively and overall is better.
If it is so clear, I wonder why they continue to give the worse player more playing time.

I don't disagree that Dyson makes total sense to start in CF shifting Cain to RF

but I just don't think we need to mess with the chemistry right now with something that's working

If we are going to put Dyson in, though, here's our new order:

Escobar
Hosmer
Cain
Moose
Perez
Gordon
Infante
Dyson
Pitcher

I'm sorry, but that stuff is just a myth. Those guys aren't going to be thinking about where they're hitting in the order when they step in the box

Your order really should be:

1. Dyson
2. Cain
3. Gordon
4. Hosmer

When in KC:

5. Butler
6. Perez
7. Infante
8. Escobar
9. Moustakas

When in SF:

5. Perez
6. Infante
7. Moustakas
8. Escobar

You need to put your best hitters in the spot where they are most likely to produce. Just because you've won several playoff games with this lineup doesn't mean that it's the best lineup for the team.

If Yost put in Collins to face Posey when he had Davis available, he's still likely to have the decision work, but that doesn't make it the right one.

Hootie 10-23-2014 07:46 PM

by the way, Dyson isn't a free agent until 2018

don't know where anyone saw that he was a FA after this year

I hate when you talk down to me like I'm a ****ing three year old.

I was making the lineup as Ned Yost.

Guys like me, Al, Duncan etc have all talked about the lineup for years...

I just don't understand why you inject yourself in these threads and talk down to the people who have been in every Royals thread talking about the Royals all year long like you know something we don't

I can promise you that I know a lot more about the Royals than even the genious of Hamas Jenkins
