It'd take me 40 minutes to get there. No thanks.

It's also one of the worst reviewed BBQ places on yelp.

Yeah once again Yelp.

Do you go to a restaurant and come home and write a review on yelp? Do you buy a product on Amazon then write a review? I dont know these kind of people or want to.

Are you on bicycle or what? Heck I drive 35 mile all the time from my house to Wabash BBQ in Excelsior Springs because I like the food and music.

Really? I find it incredibly helpful.

Maybe I'll have to start a Des Moines bbq thread and start taste testing these places. A "less gay than Clay day", so to speak.

That's too far for me with so many better BBQ options around town.

OK so what did yelp tell you when you drove all the way to Independence of what was it Big Biscuit? The BBQ ribs probably get 5 stars at Golden Corral on Yelp :D

I was born & raised in Excelsior Springs and I don't think Wabash has been good since 2003 or so. I haven't been in 5 years or so, so maybe they stopped overcooking the meat. Their sauce is still one of my very favorites.

I didn't go to Independence. I went to the one in Leawood, on the advice of someone who used to live here, and it was garbage.

Not surprisingly Yelp isn't fond of Big Biscuit.

Is there anything you do like beside orange chicken from a can? I just suggested dont come this way. I have never limited my self that way but then again I cant peek my head in a door and decide a place isn't good LMAO

Not sure where the small portions stuff started, none of us could finish our meals...loaded plates and everything was exceptional.

I absolutely loved Q39 and I agree, portions were not small at all.

I've written reviews on yelp.
