Insensitive prick!

Atleast no one was hurt, and you still have your Bose stereo to boot

My mom has one, outstanding depth of sound

Because only you have a house that looks like that without a fire? :hmmm:

I have no idea what his decorating standards are. I'm just trying to not make any erroneous assumptions.

Get everything wet you can out of there. If you don't, expect mold to grow rapidly. If you have a dehumidifier handy, use it 24/7 at least for a week. The smell from smoke will take some time to go away. Simple Febreeze works best.

Most important thing though is getting anything wet out. Mold sets in, total refurbishment will need to be done. You might be paying for a remodel anyway.

I think it's an apartment which means he's renting and like most tenants walking away and leaving the landlord with a big ,sorry see ya later while the landlord has to pay the deductible , the depreciation and deal with the loss of rent for the next several months. Of course he's already admitted in this thread he is at fault so he may have some liability issues.

And if that complex didn't have a no BBQ policy before this, it surely does now.

Can't have nice things there anymore!

He definitely has some liability. Is it worth it to take him to court to receive judgement? Either way, I'm betting he is looking for a new landlord soon.

I didn't know if it was serious OP or not - at first. Glad everyone is okay!

Buzz 07-23-2016 08:29 PM

I'm glad it wasn't worse than it could have been. Hang in there dude, thankfully you had some friends and family to help you. Everyone ****s up, think of it as in the past and move on as best you can.

Buehler445 07-23-2016 08:42 PM
