Apparently this has been the best kept secret of CP.

Did you know that you can peel a banana from the other end of the stem? It's also easier to do.

Apparently a lot of CP members have been scrolling and scrolling and scrolling. What a miserable life you guys had - no wonder you are all such assholes. :D

Have you ever clicked on User CP (up near the top left of your page)?

This wasn't a rhetorical question, btw. In case someone doesn't know, you can get a list of the threads you're subscribed to on your Control Panel page (User CP), instead of having to find them in each forum/subforum. That, plus the link to the first unread post make a huge difference, IMO.

You have NO idea. Especially when its a wall of text, quoted over and over and over.

Those are my favorite threads. I have no idea why, but I die laughing every time it happens. Guess I'm easily amused.

With all the Audiofile Teachers now days, maybe that mega thread can be converted to individual threads for each Audiofile Teacher. Hell the way things are going we might need a separate forum dedicated to Audiofile Teachers.

I think Enforcement of #2 could help.

I've never subscribed to a thread because I assumed it would send me an email every time someone posted, which would get annoying pretty quick.

Every time you post in a thread, you are automatically subscribed to it.

As far as rule 4 goes, what about the
R
E
P
Q

thing? There is something ChiefsPlanet about that, as long as no insults or ridicule, and only if it really is a repost.

You can change your settings so you don't get those emails.

I know you're joking, but for any other n00bs,

If you roll over this http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/image...s/firstnew.gifbutton it says "first new post" If you click it it will take you to the first unread post. You are welcome.

Holy ****balls. I had no idea. In my defense I have only been here since 2001.

That's not true, unless you can go into your settings and set it up that way. Then it's only true for people who do that. Unless it is the default setting and I changed it years ago.

I have had a few thread subscriptions over the years. I have one active now. It doesn't send me e-mails. I go into my user panel and it provides a link to the thread. It is remarkably unobtrusive and useful for keeping track of threads.
