Holy ****.....what?

His cap hit was $7 million and he was not the 4th best player on the defense. Do you watch the games?

We may not draft an offensive player in this years draft.

Easy 6 02-26-2018 06:12 PM

I've been on record numerous times as being against this

With the crux of my argument being 'theres no way we can fill all of the holes this year, he is good enough for now'

But man, if Brett is really feeling froggy, and has a long term vision that makes sense - and I believe he does - then to hell with it, lets revamp this mfer for real... no tweaks, just a full on rebuild of the defense

dj56dt58 02-26-2018 06:14 PM

is gramps gonna be able to effectively coach all the young players on D next year?

Hali is a legend in KC and therefore his release should be somewhat special, like DJ's.

This, it maybe got weird toward the end... but Tamba deserves special considerations

Tamba deserves Everglades

Thats bullshit, man... he was a consummate Chief

You're acting like he is Neil Smith, he doesnt deserve that kind of attitude

If you like watching young guys develop under live fire conditions, then the 2018 Kansas City Chiefs are going to be YOUR kind of team.

Offense? Check.
Defense? (Apparently) Check.
Special Teams? MAYBE! Stay tuned!

What was the final ranking of the defense this year? Had to be close to the bottom. It's clear that last season was viewed as the last run with the current roster. The current purge Veach is doing needed to happen. Accumulate picks and cap space so can start building around Mahomes with youth the next couple seasons.

At least there are pieces in place on the offense already so Mahomes has something to work with even though he'll have to score 30+ a game to eek out wins in the near future. Pressure is on Veach now to nail his drafts so hopefully they'll be in a position to spend some money on FA in a year or two to fill remaining holes.

this defense is going to be horrible next year lol

It wasn't real good this year, or last year.

How could we know that yet? Veach has some cash.

Kansas City Tech Red Raiders Mahomes is use to having shitty defense.

The Chiefs are going to be in a tough spot next year on defense. Even with Berry coming back, it's hard to expect someone who is 30 years old and has now blown an ACL and an Achilles (not to mention chemo) being the same kind of player.

Houston has plainly not been the same since his knee injury, either. Aside from Chris Jones, Ragland, and Kendall Fuller, there aren't really any ascending players on the team with upper echelon talent that have shown much. They're really going to need Kpassagnon to improve and hit on some of their draft picks, because not only have they lost a fair amount of talent, but a ton of leadership.
