God forbid we trade basically a 2nd round coin flip for a guy who makes our defense almost as good as our offense.

Peterson has four good years left for sure. He's 28.

TambaBerry 05-09-2019 04:07 PM

Yep I've been saying it I'd trade him and extend him through age 32

BossChief 05-09-2019 04:14 PM

Veach is going to make a trade right around training camp. Listen to his interviews, he flat out says as much.

His entire injury history is also nothing but a couple strains and sprains and one concussion that he didn't miss one game for.

In this case I would certainly hope not. Also, the trading an "early second" bullshit excuse is getting old.

farmerchief 05-09-2019 04:56 PM

Although I expect our first round pick, hopefully to actually be almost the first pick in second round, I wouldnt give it up for PP. I WOULD trade him our second round pick we obtained from the 49'ers though. He still has probably 4 or more good years left, but he wants a better contract, thats why he's unhappy with Arizona. Depends how we could structure a new contract? I would think he would be more than happy to come to KC, as we sure are closer to a super bowl appearance than Arizona.

Jerok 05-09-2019 05:05 PM

1. Trade 1st for PP
2. Trade 2nd for Leonard Fournette
3. Trade 3rd for AJ Green
4. Trade 4th for Random O-Lineman
5. Trade 5th for Chili Dog
6. Save your 6th and 7th round picks - gotta be careful with the picks after all.
7. Win 5 super bowls.
8. Tank for #1 overall and trade Mahomes for a 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. Have a secret deal when he returns to the Chiefs during free agency.

Rinse, repeat.

Ez being a GM.

Agree. Draft. They have done decent the last few years. Trust the system. Trading 1st for players wanting paid is the wrong way.

Pay your own, qb first, draft well, then add free agents.

We sign this mutha****a yet?

sweendog48 05-09-2019 05:42 PM

I would do it for a second rounder but if I am giving a first rounder it would have to be for Jalen Ramsey or Xavien Howard who are both 25 and better players and cheaper for this season and they kind of fit into that age bracket with the rest of the players on defense.

Kiimo 05-09-2019 05:59 PM

The Dolphins would trade Josh Rosen before they trade Xavien Howard

edit: and SECONDS LATER he gets paid
