Chris Jones and 32 to the Lions for 3 and 35.

Thoughts?

Personally, if we could get just #3 from the Lions for Jones and #32 I think I would pull the trigger in a heartbeat. Then I would be open for business and parlay that #3 into at least one trade down, if not two or three trade downs, and stock pile multiple day 1, day 2, and early day three selections.

That said, I don't think there is any way the Lions would go for that deal.

If we trade down it's likley with miami, giants, detroit.

Now if some team has a wild hair for a first rd gota have pick,we could get a first next year and get a 2nd this year, not likley but who knows.

I love how everyone says to trade Jones except the GM literally said point blank they will get something worked out long term and they expect him to be a Chief for many more years. Idk about you but so far what Veach says he does

#32 contract for 2020
$11,043,555 total
$5,591,676 signing bonus
$2,007,919 cap
Be nice to have a payday like that when over 50 yrs old

Here is what he said about Dee Ford last year.

And here is one from March on Ford and Houston. A lot of the same words as this year.

We could trade Jones for #3 then trade next years #1 and #32 for #10 .Then draft Jeudy and Ruggs and move Hill to RB. We'fd **** up the whole draft for Denver and LVR

Wut?

Its a fun exercise, but I think that’s all it is. I mean, if you could trade up to #3 with Jones and #32, then trade back down with Miami so they can take a QB, that’s ideal maneuvering. If you’re going to maneuver.

You’d still be guaranteed to get one of Okudah or Simmons, and you’d presumably probably get a second from Miami from the trade back. Might even get young.

You would need pass rush help, but would get a major back 7 upgrade.

Won’t happen though.

I don't think I've ever been so ho hum about the draft. How great is it to (possibly) be picking last? And not really even have to worry about the pick? Each guy they get now is gravy.

We will get at least 2 quality starters in this draft.

Sounds like the dress rehearsal today for the remote NFL Draft didn't go well...

The NFL decided to run a virtual mock on Monday to get ahead of whatever they might be. As suspected, there were glitches and more than a few communication faux pas, leading to several GMs reportedly becoming upset with the entire process.

"There are early communication issues because 32 of us [general managers] are on conference call and we didn't hit mute. Sounds awful," one GM reportedly told Dianna Russini of ESPN.

Yet another reached out to the media and reportedly noted a much more damning problem, and one that could halt the entire first round of the draft -- or in pick in any round -- if it happens during the biggest weekend of the NFL offseason.

"Brutal."

An additional issue was with the amount of bandwidth, or lack thereof, present in the virtual mock.
