Mecole is a horrible route runner Cooper is an elite route runner Mecole runs out of bounds as soon as he can Cooper is fearless I could go on and on….the only thing Mecole has over Cooper is speed. That’s it. I’m on record right now saying I think Veach will go hard trying to get deals done for Hill AND Cooper and will still go and draft another WR in the first 4 picks. It’s time to build an unstoppable offense and build the defense through the draft. Veach protected his golden boy last offseason, now he’s going to give him weapons so when he has time to throw (which is often) the WRs will get open. Cooper is PERFECT for WR2. Cost be dammed. |
We need to fix the pass rush.. I’d rather buy an edge rusher and draft a WR… He’s a luxury we can’t afford…

If you cloned Hardman and put 2 of him out there at the same time....Cooper would have better numbers then 2 Mecoles. |

Get me Danielle Hunter via FA and draft Jameson Williams or George Pickens. |

Gadget player vs career #1 wr and we think the gadget player comes out on top? Amari Cooper would feast in this offense. Hardman is just as likely to fumble the ball as he is to be completely unaware that the ball is coming to him. Assuming he ran the correct play. Hardman is fast, and if the guy grows a football brain will be dangerous, but right now he's a disaster waiting to happen. |

Anytime he's had a credible QB throwing him the football, he's produced. |

Send them a 3rd day pick, bring him in and extend him. No, they're not good now, but if they take that OT from 'Bama who's just an absolute horse, they now have 3 absolutely central cogs to an effective offense at QB, LT and WR. Not to mention a nice RB in Robinson. Then they can probably allow Chark to walk and it sets Shenault up nicely to continue to develop as a #2 with a plus veteran opposite him. The Jags would be wise to make a move here. |

2. His contract becomes non-guaranteed at the time of the trade. $20 million each year in base salary for the next three years. 3. You can rework his deal if you wanted to do that. Or you could see how it goes for a year and then cut him if he isn't working out. It's not like Cooper would sit because he's still getting paid $20 million a season. |

There are incentives to trading for Amari, too. He has 3 years left on his current contract with no guaranteed money past year one…so you could trade a late rounder for him and essentially get a 1 year try out and cut him if it doesn’t work out or restructure the deal so the first year cap hit is minimal and then sign an extension after year one that gives the team his services for 2 years at a cheap rate. Lots of flexibility in directions to go. I know a lot of posters (this, pest, etc) might not like this idea, but if I’m in charge, I’m trying my best to assemble the best offense ever fielded while we have the window open with Andy and Kelce both at the top of their game to try to push all the chips in to win another Super Bowl or 2 and offset with the rising cap hits with draft picks and low dollar free agents. I’d send Dallas a 2023 5th rounder for Amari and restructure his 20m 2022 cap hit while also signing Tyreek to a 5 year extension with lower cap hits the first 2 years, as well. You do those things while locking up Brown. At that point, every other resource you have in cap and draft picks can be allocated towards building a long-standing talented defense. Mahomes Kelce Hill Cooper Fortson Gray Hardman Clyde Honestly, I don’t care how popular it is, this offense has a defined window before Kelce loses a step and Andy retires. Let them go out with a huge bang and another couple rings. |
