Their logic was well if the entire West and AFC to a degree is going to load up on edge rushers, get a “weapon” you can line up in various positions and take advantage of slow and bad LB corps and interior guys…there’s your mismatch and a way to nullify the bevy of edge guys.

Now I’m not saying do that trade or anything but it def. got me thinking and I’m intrigued by that offensive strategy…

I want a more true 3-down back as well. I think that's what they thought they were getting with Clyde Edwards-Helaire. I will always wonder if he would have still been the pick had they been able to have a normal run-up to that draft, with in-person workouts and etc.

I don't think trading for McCaffery is the answer. I think finding that guy cheap and young is the answer.

There are several backs in this draft that profile that way. And won't require premium picks to get them (Day 3).

I’d be good with Jefferson. Not sure Philly would want to let go of Watkins considering they don’t have shit else.

We all thought that, because someone (Andy?) said he was going to be the Chiefs' Westbrook.

But we haven't used him like that AT ALL.

How bout just draft a guy Vreach likes and call it a day. We got ammo to move up in the draft . I know the focus is the D line and pass rush but we do have a void at WR but plenty of picks and Vrouch will find us a daisy.

Why would the Jaguars want to trade this guy?

Seems they'd want to surround their new QB with talented players.

He never worked his way up the depth chart last year under Meyer.
They just spent a ton of money on two new WRs.
Pederson didn’t draft him.

This is good news, since this clown is usually wrong about literally everything. Nice to see he's carried shitting all over every game thread into the offseason as well.

Hella on the Shenault bandwagon. Been wanting him since rumors broke the Jags could move him.

The guy they JUST signed to an extension? You gotta actually check numbers before throwing out names.

Perfect, he's already under contract.

Intriguing guy for sure, but I wouldn't want us to give up too much for him. I would draw the line at anything over a 3rd. Loved watching him when I lived in CO and he played for CU. Thought he'd project better in the NFL, but so far he hasn't really panned out like I thought he would. If used the right way it seems like he could be a nice asset. He just "out-athleted" most college guys, that's a little harder to do in the pros.

Well, let's be honest... he hasn't been in a great situation his first two seasons.

Minshew and then a rookie with the bullsh at HC and all that drama.

Still, he had a solid rookie season with 58 catches and over 600 yards with 5 TDs. Similar production last season, but 0 TDs and his catch rate dropped with the rookie QB.

I think he has a lot of upside with a solid QB and system. Hell, if he can be had for a 4, I would like Denver to go get him.

It’s amazing that people are concerned about a rookie WR having an impact on this team when Andy Reid got so much out of Hardman and Tyreek their rookie years.

Those guys were still learning to play the ****ing position, more or less the offense, and they both had 500+ yards and several TDs.

It also helps when you have a future HOF QB.

They were used as weapons. It’s not like they were running the entire route tree.

Is it fair to think that Reid would be able to figure out how to work them in? Yes. But they aren’t coming in day one and being Justin Jefferson.

An impact is an impact.

Whoever we draft is likely to be a more polished WR than those guys were in year 1.

I’m not saying we should expect them to come in and be a 1,000 yard WR or anything, but you don’t have to be to have an impact.

Mahomes certainly helps...

Smith was the QB for Hill's rookie season, but Hill is also a rare talent. Aside from Kelce, Maclin was the only other real threat.

Hardman - he played with Mahomes and was behind Kelce, Hill, Watkins in the pecking order. Since his rookie year, he really hasn't changed much with his production. REC's have increased but not the yardage really (YPC is 1/2 of what he had his rookie year and TDs have fallen.

Hardman was a beneficiary of Mahomes and the surrounding talent more than Hill was - Hill is just a different level. So, going out and finding the next Hardman... not really the plan, if it were me.
