Yep it’s a D Rob replacement
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Nice get by Nate (and Tom). If it's essentially 2/18M, that's not bad. He's a deep threat essentially replacing Demarcus Robinson. No way does this remove a trade for Shenault. They're two completely different types of WRs.
|
I’m lost at why $10-12 mil per year for an average WR and $10.5 mil for a slightly above average WR is ok with our cap but a $15 mil per year increase for a top 5 WR was completely out of question
|
Meh
|
I'm having a hard time believing that Veach is spending $9M per for a WR4/WR5 Robinson replacement - when we don't have a WR1 or WR2 on the roster.
If people like Kiley and Verderame are right, then **** this deal. |

Better hope he learns to catch. Thats the biggest knock.
9 per year the first couple seems a bit high, but if he improves his catch % it could be steal for a wideout with his measurables and ability. Little risky, but probably a chance worth taking given the circumstances. They'll add a playmaker in the draft too, so that will give Mahomes Kelce, JuJu, MVS, Mecole and said drafted playmaker. Not to mention the Top 5 O-Line Veach assembled last year. If that's not enough for Mahomes than he's not who we think he is. I think our offense will be fine personally. We'll see . . . . . . . |
At this point....we don't have a WR1 or WR2 or WR3. This shit is going full WR by committee until someone steps the **** up.
|
The main thing now is we still have enough deep threat in the offense with this guy and Hardman.
There's not gonna be a lot of film on what we're gonna do on offense going forward. It's gonna be interesting. I mean, are you going to honor Scantling or Hardman like you do Tyreek? Hell no. And that's going to open up opportunities. |
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Welp, plans are made for tonight I suppose.<br><br>Before even getting into the film I can tell you this isn't a "player for player" replacement, it's KC looking to replace one aspect (deep threat). We'll see how the film looks. <a href="https://t.co/lqwh1TWSJ7">https://t.co/lqwh1TWSJ7</a></p>— Seth Keysor (@RealMNchiefsfan) <a href="https://twitter.com/RealMNchiefsfan/status/1507082950923493381?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">March 24, 2022</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Holy crap, just found out about this guy. He’s from my home town the last 12 years. Members of Arrowhead South know his family well.
He blows up, thinking free autographs! :) |
I think we need to get WR 1, 2, 3, etc out of our heads.
I think Veach is targeting like 4 WR 2’s. No one will break the bank, but there won’t be a bum or JAG on the field. Then, we’ll have an elite TE (check) and a gadget guy (check). Get Shanault and an early draft pick (man if we can get Olave). That’s a deep group of receivers and a completely different look from this offense. Add some balance with an improved running game. Great offense and very attainable. |
