Security measures weren't nearly as tight back then, and the guy snuck in a gun. That's awful for her, but like I said, I don't blame him one bit. I'd sooner get burned at the stake in the middle of Mile High in front of thousands of cheering Bronco fans than slowly die in a nursing home.
Although personally I think I'd have done it before I got there, after first taking out whoever thought it was a good idea to put me there in the first place.
