Just week one then he was released. But they still could have called him back and added him. He’s available and it hasn’t been long since he’s been in the building. I think that shows they currently have him evaluated as a designated pass rusher type only and don’t see him holding up in the run game to be part of the rotation

Well, cross Joe Haden off the list. He’s officially retired. Might have been a nice veteran presence in the secondary, assuming he had anything left in the tank.

I put him in the same category with Tim Ward and a guy like Joe Jackson. Ward they know what he is. A guy who spent last year on the active roster with the jets but was released at the first cutdown this training camp and isn’t on a taxi squad for whatever reason. Joe Jackson I mention because he had a very nice college career with Miami and has the frame and length everyone is looking for. He just hasn’t stuck for whatever reason. Comparable to an Ogbah size whose type IMO. All 3 are not currently on a 53 or PS but sooner or later they will be on the try out circuit. All 3 have experience in KC (Jackson only a couple weeks on the PS last year in the playoffs and they didn’t sign him to a futures contract) I keep the other two in mind because unlike Kamara they haven’t worked with Cullen so with each of their plus length and size they’re in the rolodex because they fit in the category of being coached up and maybe over achieving with Cullen as he has made chicken salad out of chicken shit in his career with some players

I know the thread is about adding players, but I'd rather just straight up cut Frank Clark than add anybody right now.

If he continues to have his health issues and starts to miss practice and games and loses any more weight they could always place him on non football injury/illness and either activate him when healthy or keep him there for the season. If someone steps up to fill in the DE rotation and he does have issues that might be what they do. For now they will stick with him but I think that’s a probable outcome if/when

Clark to me looks like Taco Charleton from a couple years ago when he showed up for mini camp or Ota’s weighing like 245 very lean and probably 10 lbs at least too light

You can't him today without a massive cap hit. I'm not sure if NFI/illness rules can be used, either.

NFI would be no different cap wise and how that’s affected. Would be the same as IR in that regard. Simply can’t afford to cut him outright though that’s exactly right
