Alot of people with shitty swings think if they just golf, they will get a ton better and could be scratch. IMO unless you are correct at P6 and P7 (positions at Impact and right before impact) you can only get so good and the worst thing you can do is practice alot with a shitty incorrect swing. You just ingrain your bad habits. At the golf course I clean carts at, I see tons of old guys who play every single day and they still suck.

My dad is 75 and till shoots in the 70s his swing is flawed but consistent especially at impact .

So in your mind, anyone with a double-digit handicap sucks. Gotcha. :thumb:

I'm going to head out to the course about 1:30 or so and hit a few balls. Then I'll slip off on the back 9 and play a few holes. I'll have the bluetooth speakers on my golf cart cranking out some rock&roll and it will be a beautiful afternoon on the course. Golf is good!

I've consumed my testosterone and creatine so I'm almost ready. Pre-round prep is always important.

No way. If you are a guy who plays once a month 12 is amazing. If you play a few times a week and still a 12 I'd take up a new hobby.

12 handicap I would think is way above average, most people would play better if the spent 80% of their practice time on their short game but that is boring as hell.

I have a friend who is a really great athlete. Hockey , baseball etc.. his slice swing should be a easy fix , it’s basic physics but man every time I watch him swing it hurts my early eyes.

Def tip I ever got was just be athletic, trying to break down the swing into multiple parts I think is flawed and over complicates it .

If you know the sports physics in throwing a curveball, screwball , topspin , backspin , you can hit a draw or a fade.

I'm a 24 and play once a week on average, so I should...?

I've put some effort into my short game this year since I rarely get any GIR. In the last couple of months it's showing too.

My last 6 rounds:

32 Putts (3 Putts x2 and 1 putts x6)
36 Putts (3 Putts x3 and 1 putts x3)
35 Putts (3 Putts x0 and 1 putts x1)
32 Putts (3 Putts x2 and 1 putts x4, 1 chip in)
31 Putts (3 Putts x1 and 1 putts x6)
31 Putts (3 Putts x2 and 1 putts x7)

A 12 isn't bad at all considering that the avg golfer doesn't break 90. I guess it depends on what you're wanting to get out of it. And if you're a 12 and shoot in the mid 70s on a given day that's a great day. If you're a 12 keep playing and try and have some fun.

Stop playing golf for fun and finally get serious about it!

Extra practice here and there, better clubs and shoes and polo shirts and shit, quit your day job, buy a Corvette, move to Hawaii so you can golf 24/7.

I'd love to, but I know my limitations. I'd probably never get to a single digit cap and would have to off myself.

MMXcalibur 10-21-2022 12:42 PM

Give me 4-5 cracks and I can putt my ball through the windmill, no problem!

JohnnyHammersticks 10-21-2022 12:45 PM

I'm a big fan of weed concentrates on the golf course. We call hitting the vape "doing a shot-straightener". Knocks at least 3 strokes off your handicap over time - if you do it right.
