Game was so addictive, I played that a ton on family vacations and back and forth to school in the car. A road trips best friend when you were 10 :)

Yeah, a lot of people blame ET for Atari's demise. I think the 2600 ran its course and got outpaced by better technology.

It was until they found a bunch of them in a landfall a few years ago.

Because they games weren't officially licensed they got killed by the over abundance of games, namely terrible games they weren't vetting at all. It's a huge reason that when Nintendo came about they officially licensed games to not have terrible shit they had no control over get released.

I believe next to nothing. I seen a show sometime back about the 80s. Apparently the game flopped so bad they couldn't get rid of them. Can't remember all the details but it something along the lines they put them in a shipping container and buried them. Not sure if that was fact or just an urban legend

No, TV Sports Football was a game on the niche (and failed) 16-bit TurboGraphix system.

I thought I'd try and play a game today.
Dug through a tub of PS3 games and found a Madden game.

Just done an exhibition and of course picked the Chiefs without a second thought. I kicked off and my special teams player was Jevon Belcher....ooof.

They scored...offense came on and the year dawned on me. Matt mother ****ing Cassel was the damn QB. Shut that shit off and found something else to do. :doh!:

1983, my junior year at CMSU we lived on the corner of college, the house was 2 blocks from the library. It was so dilapidated that they tore it down right after we moved out for the summer.

My original thought was no shit, that game was horrible. Then I got curious and Googled it. Couldn't find ET but on average games would have been $100-$120 in todays dollar.

Cheapest I could find one to buy now is $5.50. ROFL
The "landfill" games went all the to $1500.
