I don’t think that’s really true, case in point he tried to do better than that by drafting Lance. The real answer here is that Lance is a bust.

Dallas wasting a 4r on him is just JJ’s latest screw up but not as bad as SF blowing the draft capitol they did to draft him to begin with.

Pretty rare you see two teams lose a trade.
