Only thing that concerns me about this game is Philly's front and how long Mahomes has been holding the ball.

If 15 gets the ball out quick and/or the OL holds up, we're good.

If he gets the ball out quick we see the first drive against Miami for a whole game. Sign me the **** up!

No shit, that would be a welcome sight.

Hope it ends on an Eagles defensive holding call again so I can see some more tears.

That's a deep cut. I don't think I've posted in DC in about 7-8 years.

Aw, c'mon, I couldn't resist when it crossed my mind. DC combat has its own absurdities.

All due respect for some reason, but the Dolphins OL + Moestert is not the Eagles OL + Swift.

Hey I agree with Direkshun! Swift is third in rushing yards. We all know the Eagles OL is elite. We also know they have one of the best running threat QB's in football.

Trenches will be hard work for us. Sweat is on pace for a double-digit sack season, Reddick is on pace for another great rushing year and Carter looks like the next great DT in the making as a rookie.

Still think we win but this will be one of the toughest games of the season.

Swift went crazy in weeks 2 and 3 against the Vikings and Tampa.

Since then, he hasn’t done much. His long carry is 22 yards since then. His best YPC is 4.1 in a game. He’s been almost completely shut down by Dallas, Washington, and the Jets. (Same Jets that Pacheco gashed for 115).

That's fair. Hope you're right.

Your central point is flawed also. The Broncos scored 24 because they got a short field 5 times, not because our defense failed.

That's always the thing with football, all you have are small sample sizes.

Turnovers sure didn't help. I just didn't like how they ran on us.

Whatever, not buying it, but again, 28 points to the Vikings. What's the excuse?

If you're not buying the things I have to say than I don't know if you'll buy any explanation for the Eagles/Vikings game that you will buy.

Yeah. 7 snaps against the Dolphins. I don't know if he's injured, it's pitch count shit, or they've just genuinely given up on him, but personally think for the offense to be consistently elite again it's going to need his skill set in particular.

Totally agree.

It's time to ramp up Toney. And if he dies, he dies.

You've definitely learned not how to doubt them, I'll give y'all that.

Those instincts of mine haven't gone anywhere, though.

Which is fine. I'm down for some football discussion and I like having the back and forth, except when it's toxic.

Omenihu and Tranquill will be problems for Philly.

Tranquill is the perfect Hurts killer.

I haven't watched much Eagles this year, but I saw a ton of the Eagles last year.

And, man. No team in the NFL played that Hurts play-action better than KC. Bolton had it read correctly 100% of the time in the Super Bowl.

What's been super shocking to me is that Tranquill, these past two games, is doing everything Bolton does. He doesn't go downhill as decisively, but he does play with better depth.

Just an absolutely absurd free agency addition by Veach. Tranquill has allowed the defense to do everything it was doing under Bolton without skipping a beat.

How many tush pushes will we see?

Megatron96 11-06-2023 02:30 PM

Luckily, PHI isn't playing very well on either side of the ball. Their OFF DVOA=+13.4%, good enough for just 7th, and defensively they're really underperforming, with a DEF DVOA of just +3.7%, a bottom-of-the-middle tier 21st in the league, and just two spots better than MIA's crappy defense. that should help the cause quite a bit.

It also is fortunate that both Hurts and Goedert are injured, Particularly Goedert, who broke his arm or something and won't be available at all.

But PHI has the ability to just run the ball if they want to, and they will just hand off 40+ times if it's working. I would be concerned that they might try something like that, but I have a feeling that Siriani has something to prove, and won't lean on their run game like that against KC, probably to his ultimate detriment.

If they do, well, I guess we'll find out how good our run defense plays without Bolton.
