No pressure on Chiefs and Mahomes. They continue to exceed expectations and I think they are having fun again.
I think it’s going to close and defense defines the game.
Chiefs 17
Ravens 14

I expect Patrick Mahomes to show Lamar who the real MVP is.

I expect people to say Mahomes is the real MVP.

Lots of murders and muggings in Baltimore. Also lots of sad Ravens fans after they get beat handedly

Part of me worries if this might end up being like the Bucs Super Bowl all over again.

Where the injury issues and the superior opponent are staring us straight in the face and we ignore it all “because Mahomes” and then they go out and give us the ass kicking we should’ve expected all along.

That said, I think it’ll be close in the fourth quarter. Because Mahomes.

Inspired by a personal challenge from Andy Reid, the offensive line is going to collectively play their best game of the season.

It’s not comparable to the Bucs Super Bowl.

That game the Chiefs were missing both starting tackles, they were playing a practice squad-caliber player at center, etc.

Tomorrow the Chiefs are missing just one starter… and although he is their best offensive lineman, they have a veteran/capable replacement.

Chiefs 24, Ravens 17

Lamar fails to convert on 4th down late and the Chiefs run out the clock.

I’m very calm going into this. I really don’t see why everyone thinks Baltimore is so much better than us. Lamar has his best WR core of his career and still only threw for 3600 yards. He’s the same exact guy who he’s always been, and we have a better defense than he’s ever faced against us. This team is not some dominant juggernaut. They are very beatable.

I’m completely content with whatever happens. Going to 6 straight AFC Championships is something I never could have imagined in my wildest dreams, especially with how we played all season. We have proven we are inevitable. Short of Mahomes getting injured, we will always be here. We have rising stars in Rice and Pacheco on offense and we’ll bring back a very solid D. The future is bright.

All that said, my God I would love to win this game and rip the hearts out of every other fan base in pro football, and bathe in their tears the two weeks leading up to the Super Bowl.

All linemen were backups caliber. Chiefs lost Osemele early in the season. And Wylie was started because LDT opted out due to Covid.

And the Bucs had a HOF qb, HOF TE, AllPro WR, Pro Bowl Receiver, and HOF receiver.

Not even close to the same.

So, you're thinking the Ravens will benefit from a couple of phantom defensive holds that negate turnovers, a DPI on a throw that's 15 yards overthrown, and a penalty on a throw that ended up in the stands?

Because... before that, it was a great slugfest in the making.

The one piece from that game though is TB adjusting to the Chiefs blitzes by throwing Gronk some easy screens... something the Chiefs didn't adjust to well. I fear Savant Jackson could draw that up if they're seeing too much pressure.

I think it plays out very similarly to the Bills game. I don’t think the ravens score in the 4th.

Except Tucker isn't Tyler Bass. Buffalo had fortunate bounces though on that final drive before getting into FG range.
