What really sucks when they have layoffs? When you are a manager who has to lay off 10 good people, when you know 2 useless people with offices are still employed because of the work they did 10 years ago...

Just think of it this way, they are paying you to golfing, fishing, anything you want for a month. Just chill & relax! Refocus! A paid vacation!

Then go job hunting the 2nd month. FTR, Sorry to hear this but I believe and trust that you will land a new job that's perfect for you.

I'm still in profit sharing for one more quarter.

Sorry to hear it, Tech is the right space though!

You'll find another one soon! I prefer working a the smaller orgs and helping them build something, the payoff can be better than big orgs.
