We traded an abysmal LT for a negative LT and an elite guard for a negative guard.

I get why the Chiefs are so hesitant to commit to this long term. Our whole left side was being caved in and we had nothing pounding the rock all game.

Taylor is 37/134 in pass blocking and Morris is 94/134.

Creed is #1 in pass blocking from C
Thuney is #1 in pass blocking from G
Smith is #38 in pass blocking from G

1/3 of Morris's pressures came during the Raiders game so I hear. That tanked his grade.

This should be perfectly fine for a player of Mahomes ability.

I know what point you're trying to make but I couldn't really read the rest of your post after seeing Smith's ranking.

I'm not sure I buy those rankings. Other than yards per play, which is one of the worst in the entire league (after leading the league usually with Mahomes), the rest of the O metrics aren't bad. Scoring, total yards, etc. because Mahomes is still pulling rabbits out on many third downs. Mahomes is not having a good year by his standards, but most QBs behind this line would be doing worse.

I'd argue YPP measures largely offensive line performance and what you do with those yards per play measures QB performance with skilled positions players contributing to both.

The problem, IMO, is some of the "rabbits" he's pulling out are created because he runs out of a decent pocket or doesn't read things out.

He's just not playing well. Yes, he's been under pressure. Some of that is his own fault.

Of Tackles that have played 125+ snaps, Morris is graded at 72/83. There is a reason he was benched and replaced with a Guard. And there is a reason we signed Humphries. He is terrible. The coaching staff and Mahomes has lost confidence in him.

LT is the most important position on the offensive line in pure pass blocking sets. Are you saying Morris is perfectly fine? Mahomes is so good that he doesn't need a functioning LT?

Unfortunately for dilphag, 3 time superbowl champ, 3 time superbowl mvp, and 2 time league mvp Patrick Mahomes delivered the kiss of death by exhibiting his fury with Wanya openly on the field after another tragi-comic snap he took at left tackle.

Brett Veach rolled the dice on a guy coming off an acl tear, and Andy has put our left guard in to play tackle.

Wanya Morris will never take another meaningful snap this season unless someone literally dies.

Fortunately for us, we have dilphag to inform us all on what a travesty of talent evaluation this is.

Creed Humphrey - #5 96% win rate
Trey Smith - #12 95% win rate

This is for tackles:

Jawaan Taylor - #13 92% win rate

Both PFF and ESPN have 4/5 of our offensive lineman ranked very high in pass blocking. Mahomes is responsible for more pressure than a lot of people want to admit.
