Yeah that is my restrained excitement. LB and interior OL should be the places you can find the most value for in the draft. But he’s young and it’s not the worst price tag so… meh

I seem to recall several game day threads where certain posters were bitching about Bolton. I'm not going to pull a Clay and go digging for them and post them here but I wonder how those individuals feel about this now?

if you ever listen to Spags talk about Bolton this makes more sense. Spags ****ing loves him and calls him the Mahomes of the defense. That could just be a coach being extra nice to his players but I think he was serious.

I like Bolton and this signing doesn’t upset me. It does remind me of when the Colts three best players were their RB, LG and MLB though lol

We’ve got Mahomes and no CB, LT, or EDGE on a second contract so we should be able to get away with it as long as we draft well.. but I’d feel a lot better about things if we were talking about extending a young LT and pass rusher.

We have limited cap space for the next couple years. They’ll most certainly backload Trey’s contract heavily, meaning some $30m cap hits in year 3, 4, etc.

Jawaan’s got a $27m cap hit and his APY was only $20m.

It's not even close to the same comparison man. They also didn't have Reid, Mahomes, Kelce, Jones, McDuffie, Karlaftis, Creed, Rice, Worthy or a GM as good as Veach.

CP seems a lot more sanguine about this than Chiefs twitter, which seems to yearn for a repeat of the back half of Anthony Hitchens' contract.
