CF,
Well I guess we will just have to bet the series when it gets here then. Your Queens looked awesome last night. I really like Stoyo and Bibby. Spurs looked very good as well playing without the Admiral. I really like David Robinson, the guy is a class act. This is exactly the way I want it. If the Lakers win again this year it will be the second greatest run in NBA history. If the Queens shoot the lights out for 4-7 games they can win but that is what they will have to do. They will also have to quit all the crying and blaming refs for their own failures. That will be hard to do considering you have the biggest beeotch center in the league leading the way. I think Phil put it best when he said he has absolutely no fear of this team. (Queens) The series should be a great one though, looking forward to it. BIG DADDY Patiently waiting for that 15th title. |
Funny how King's fans never bring up the fact that their team, flat out, choked away the series last year at the free throw line.
Or does fall under the "the ref's screwed us" umbrella? Saying Shaq has "no skill" is ridiculous. |

I credit Phil Jackson with knowing how to take advantage of Shaq's size in a team concept. Garnett, Kobe and Duncan are skilled. Shaq is big. He is fortunate to be playing for Jackson in LA. |
CF,
So you up to betting the series when it happens? You guys should be in great shape after beating up the grey beards. |
Look Big Daddy understand this much.
The officiating in the western finals was flawed last year and even the league recognized it. That is why they introduced having a review of buzzer beaters this year. To keep shots like the 3 pointer that Samaki made after time expired to win one of the games against the Kings last year. It's why they changed the defensive rule for the defenses to be able to bring down a player to double team the center so that Shaq couldn't stand on an island and elbow his way to the hoop. And also to benefit the perimeter shooters and open lanes by setting a screen inside for more excitement than a 330 pounder setting under the basket and slamming it in. Personally I enjoy Kobe immensely. And that rule accomidates him and gives him more opportunity off the triangle. As far as Vlade, he is the only center in the league that can beotch slap Shaq inside (Since Rodman retired) and expose him to the dirty play he has always relied upon. It seems he only flops against Shaq and why wouldn't he. The man is the largest player in the league. Shaq even said in the off season about Ming and I quote "Ming is going to find out what its like when he gets an elbow in the face." That is Shaq's play. You can't deny that. And to talk about floppers look at pretty boy Fox. He flops just as much if not more than Divac. Especially when he gets beotch slapped by King Christie in the jaw. Didn't he instigate and get his arse beat twice that day? I can't wait either. It's gonna be fun. :D |
Shaq left LSU because he couldn't play by the rules, huh.
I'm guessing it may have had something to do with huge piles of cash. So because he doesn't shoot from outside 5 feet, he has no skill? With that logic, Chamberlain, Russell, Jabbar, Olajawan, Reed, and damn near every other center who ever played, lacked skill as well. |
Just another tidbit of info:
When the Lakers had their arse handed to them from the Seattle Sonics in their last meeting this year I was there for the game. Decked out in full Kings gear (My wife of course in all Laker gear)at the end of the game I ran down to the tunnel of the Lakers and was giving the defeated Lakers a piece of my mind. Saying the Kings are comin for ya, the Kings are comin for ya Phil and you wanna know what he said to me? F--- OFF!!! In that low mono toned voice. That cracks me up. The Zenmaster telling me to F--- OFF. Wish I would have had a cow bell. Just thought that I would share that. |

If he do anything other than one step and dunk you might be able to convince me he has skill. He is poor at passing, dribbling and shooting. His foot movement is so slow he has to rely on the shove and club. Quote:

For all the Queen smack talkers on here I noticed none of you want bet anything on it. BTW, Shaq has developed that hook shot he has been using this year and those shots on the baseline are well over 5 feet, try like 10. Free throws are much better this year as well. |
I have to admit, his game has come a long way. That 10 foot shot has really added a whole new dimension to his game. And hasn't his free throw shooting reached 60%?
Maybe someday he will not need to shove and club. |
CF,
Free throw percentage this year was like 63%. He went 10-13 in the first playoff game. Here are some other intersting Shaq stats for the year. Pretty good considering how much of the season he was out. It is very telling that Shaq is #1 in free throw attempts considering he is the one doing the shoving and clubing.
Does he receive special treatment from the refs in response to "Hack a Shaq"? It is no wonder he does well at rebounding. He lumbers down court and sets roots in the low post. With his big body he should be #1 in all rebounding catagories. |

#1 in FTA's, eh? what a rough life he has. |
