Yep. This year the East has a shot because the Pacers play SMART basketball. They also play great offense and defense. They're a fundimentally sound team that's gonna make it tough for whoever makes it out of the West. Especially if they're rested... :hmmm:

yeah shaq is just f'ing huge with his weight and height...just imagine how great he would be IF he could shoot a sixfooter or freethrows...

Then he should have signed with the Spurs or Pacers. Let's see what he does next year... ;)

As long as Artest stays within 4 inches of the bench...

Exactly. But what's happening to him now is since he never developed any real game, he has nothing to fall back on so his stats are dipping because he's not physically able to dominate like he could in the past.

I sure hope so. It would be nice for one of my teams to win a championship at least once a decade. :banghead:

Of course nothing will ever match the Chiefs winning the Superbowl. :thumb:

On the other hand, the Spurs know how to play as a team, and that's why they'll take out the Lakers in 6 or less.

BIG DADDY, if you just stepped back and looked at the situation for what it is, you would see a vastly overated team in the Lakers who could be taken out by the Pacers, or by any team that plays team basketball...

BTW, Shaq has really slowed down too. All Time best Center? No way in HELL. I'd say he's the 6th best at best behind Chamberlin, Jabbar, Olajuwon, Russel, and Robinson. Shoot, even Ewing had more game than Shaq.

You guys are way higher on the Pacers than I am. We will have to get a few wagers going when the finals arrive. THe only teams I think the Pacers have a shot at beating are the Queens and the Timberpups IMO.

The only team I think the Pacers can't beat in a 7 game series is the Spurs. We'll see...

Just had to pull this thread back up since everyone was giving me such a hard time after the last game. HOW BOUT THE LAKERS!!!! If they play like that they are unbeatable.

I remember when the Rockets made the Lakers look bad in Game 3 as well. Point is, this was predictable. LA needed it way more than SA and played like it. I'm still sticking to Spurs in 6 or less. I really think the Spurs win the next one in LA and then close it out back in SA.

Dude, do you really think that San Antonio could hit the broad side of a barn with a brick in that game?

The Lakers should have won that game by 40 points IMO.

Not if the Lakers play like that. It's about time they started playing D.

They were up by 30 when they started pulling starters. They shot over 56%. You were expecting more?

I'm with you BD but their inconsistency will be their undoing I'm afraid

I have never, ever seen shooting so bad as the Spurs put up in that game, well, except for the NJ Nets in the finals last year.

I am just saying, don't get too happy, the Lakers didn't do much better. The Lakers team with Kareem and Magic on it would have won that game by 50 or more. JMHO :)

BTW, where is the Sharks thread? I was right about the Flames eh? They are oppoortunistic and a bit lucky, but they have all the heart it will take to upset the Sharks.

I hope the Sharks prevail, but I am worried that the Flames will best them.
