1) After his previous foot-in mouth comments, clamming up is the right move. "It's the smart move. Tessio was always the smarter one". "But I'm gonna' wait". We all know what happened to Abe Begota, yes? 2) Welcome to the New Arrowhead Reality; silence is the order of the day until it's time to speak. I love it. We are on our way to being a legitimate NFL Franchise. |

What do you think he was going to say when he said, "There are no other Tom Brady's and no other Matt Cassell's. Now there's one guy who -" and then he stopped.
I bet he was talking about one of the QBs in the draft, and then remembered not to tip his hand. |

Yeah, I was thrilled about that too. Maybe we won't always waste a second-round pick on a combine freak any more. |

We heard all that before when Tamba Hali and Brandon Flowers were drafted. That does not represent a philosophical shift for the Chiefs. Other things (e.g. drafting for scheme rather than taking best available talent and designing to them) are much more different with Pioli vs. Herm/Kuharich.

It seems to me, and I hope it's true, that Pioli is a "moxie/mojo guy" when it all comes down to making the final call. DCS loves the mojo, and this club needs more of it! |
"We're going to build a big, strong, fast, smart, tough, disciplined football team."

Herm, to my knowledge, fits into none of those categories. So I'm not sure why it would be "interesting" that he wasn't included. Where are Tom Brady's comments, that's a valid question. Or Romeo Crennel's. Or his Aunt Pat Pioli for some more family perspective. |
Quote:
Because other than Clark Hunt, there is no more high profile person within the Chiefs organization to comment on Pioli's hiring than Herm. |
wow 810 is replaying the presser and I think their tape is warped and those idiots haven't figured it out yet LOL what a reeruned station.

we need to sign a midget and name him 'mini me.' "mini me LOVES chocolate. SCOTTIE DON'T!" |

so what else is new. Change is good. and he doesn't have time for these clowns without a real question. |

This guy LOVES football, and you can tell that the challenge and chance to build his own and first empire means more to him than money ever could. This was a GREAT hire and move on Clark's part; we are FINALLY on our merry ****ing way. :toast: |

Michael Smith of ESPN is reporting there is a good possibility that Pioli keeps Herm and the final decision on the coaching staff should come by the end of the week.

Thanks for embedding the press conference, I finally had a chance to watch it.

Thought it would be interesting to compare *****'s introductory presser to Dorsey's -- ironically, held on the same dates, exactly four years apart.
Oops, sorry OTWP: Quote:
He had a lot of people fooled, from the owner on down. |

This all sounds so familiar.
|
Pioli truly was a wolf in sheep's clothing. We were all fooled.

{Sees bump....and that I posted in thread}
"Oh shit...." {Read's innocuous post about how Herm is clearly fired....exhales} I remember turning on him sooner than everyone except for maybe Hamas and Dane, but I didn't remember exactly when that was. Thank God I didn't say anything stupid in this particular thread. |

Wait OTWP liked the Pioli hire once upon a time?

Look, these were dark times. We all said stuff we wish we could take back.
Let's just move past this together. |

Can one of the functional IT nerdz replace all instances of "*****" with a witch emoticon like the former Faider owners name does?
That'd be nice... Of just go with this one... :fire: |
No one is at fault for thinking that Fat Scott was a good hire at the time.
The guy is Bernie Madoff... one of the biggest frauds in recent NFL history. |
