I really, really liked that episode.
|
Renewed for season 10.
Which I'm glad because I like the show, although other than the musical 200th I haven't been feeling this season very much. |

You are correct, sir.
|
Solid start to the back half.
|
I'm not feelin' this season so far. Not sure why.
|
I enjoyed last night's episode. At first I was annoyed that they turned Charlie into a bad ass killer. The explanation was good enough. Why Felicia Day got such a bad hair cut is beyond me.
|
I liked it too. Felicia Day is such a weird looking girl.
|
See what suck the most about her is she has made bank on that girl next door, nerd type chick. Then she went out and got that "I hate my dad" haircut and one guy on twitter said he wouldnt listen to her podcast anymore because of it, the feminists took the narrative as anything negative said about her is an attack on all women.
It's like you cant have an opinion of her anymore. |
Well this season sucked balls.
|
I'm about to watch the season 5 finale. I started watching the show because of this thread.

Cherish these moments. This show blew its load with Lucifer.

"I bet a fiddle of gold against your soul to say I'm better'n you." That was cool. |
It's had some great individual episodes, but yeah, none of the season-long arcs have really held up to season 5. I haven't watched last night's finale yet.
|
i always hated the main dude cause he was bangin' my boy tom welling's gal in smallville lol

"Moments. Fleeting moments." This season could really have been bad ass, but it got dragged down by the brother angst shit. If this show keeps going, they have GOT to cap that. Have the bros hug it out and get to kicking ass, or something. |
Neat promo...
(spoiler tagged for autoplay. **** autoplay)
Spoiler!
|
Looks like it could be a good season. Can't wait for all these premieres in October.

I will get back to it, just am behind on so many shows as it is. One episode of GoT left. Two seasons of Dexter left. Three seasons of Breaking Bad left. Ton of books and comic books I'm working on too. Just finished Preacher (awesome, going to be a tough transition to TV). If it weren't so CW it would probably be higher on my list of priorities. Love the soundtrack, and there have been some really good episodes and stories.

Thought the season premiere was okay. Not great, not terrible, just okay. Hopefully it gets better, but given last season, I'm not holding out high hopes. And...
Spoiler!
|
I agree...just OK.
|
I like how they referenced "The Cage". Wonder if that will lead to something this season?

I thought it was one of their better premieres from the last few years (everything leviathan and after was bad). The narrative structure was unusual for the show and I liked that the baby they saved was the darkness. Nice little twist. And adult darkness girl was...attractive.
|
I guess i was just bored with the episode. I liked the twist at the end. But something was just missing for me.
|
To me it's well past old that one of the brothers always has to be infected with something or on the verge of death or trapped in hell, purgatory, whatever.
It's like Sam said to Dean: "When did we forget how to do this?" When did the writers forget how to do something new? The show didn't become bad after Kripke completed his arc, but it lost some of its mojo. Thought it was gaining it back a few seasons ago, but imo last season it slipped again. I'm still holding out hope this season will get better, but I'm not holding my breath. |
The bitch fest between the brothers gets old, but it is a glue of the characters and show, for better or worse.
|
To me, the show has stayed alive because of the introduction of other "dimensions" every so often. "Hell" with Crowley, Alistair, Abadon, etc. "Heaven" with Castiel, Metatron, and the search for God. "Purgatory" (although my least favorite) with the Leviathan and Benny.
I think they're running out of dimensions...at least "known" dimensions that people identify with. It feels like they're trying to introduce another with the Darkness, but I'm not feeling it at this point. I find myself wanting some of the original "two brothers killing monsters" storylines. |
They put season 10 on Netflix recently and I just finished it.
Dean fighting the Mark of the Cain deal got pretty tiresome after a while. He was a badass as a demon, though. Also near the end when he fully gave into the Mark. I'm interested in the next season with "the darkness" being freed, but they're really reaching at this point. |
This season is losing me. They need to bring back some of the big players - Michael, Lucifer, Chuck Shurley (who may or may not be God according to some theories).
|
This last episode, "Baby", was probably my favorite I've watched in some time. That episode made good viewing.

Dexter. I know you won't stop watching. It was really, really good up until the end of the fourth season. You will want to follow the characters and you probably don't believe that the show could get that bad that quickly. It does. It falls off a cliff. The writing turns to shit with poor dialogue and the integrity of the characters is destroyed with unbelievable, cliched actions. The plots have giant holes that will leave you shaking your head. The production value plummets to CBS Movie Of The Week quality. This giant shit-filled snowball just rolls on and on downhill until it builds into a massive Coyote versus Roadrunner finale that is somehow simultaneously devoid of impact and yet infuriating. If you think you would enjoy being dry humped by a large beagle for two hours then by all means watch the next two seasons and destroy any positive memories of this show that you still have. |
Finally caught up on the new season (I'd only seen the premiere before today). I gotta say, I'm digging what they're doing. And the Impala episode was a classic.
|
I liked this last episode. Amara's real identity was an interesting twist.
|
Grown-up darkness = HOT
|
That episode with the imaginary friend murders was pretty ****ing stupid.

Having Mark Pellegrino back in the mix is a major bonus but, yeah, Emily Swallow just looked incredible. Liked that winter finale.

And yes, I enjoyed that mid season finale. Nice little twist with Lou there, but it really didn't come as a shock. Very interested to see where they take this the rest of the season. |
They're really treading over old ground here.
I really like the actor that plays Lucifer but I couldn't give a $3it less about the same old "no, don't do that! I'll save you" BS of the last 5 years... |

That was enjoyable, I thought. Even if the big reveal was not shocking at all.
|
Maybe I'm dense...I didn't see it coming at all.

What happened after it was done DID surprise me. |
Back for season twelve.
Got to say I've enjoyed this season more than the last couple, but christ how long can they keep it going. Sam and Dean in a retirement home? (Oh wait, that happened a few weeks back didn't it) |
I didn't know where they were going with Chuck and Metatron, but goddamn. Once Dink's Song kicked in that turned into one of the best final acts the show has ever had.

The Chuck and Metatron episode was my favorite in a long, long time, and that includes "Baby" from earlier this season. This season has been stronger on a whole than recent seasons.
|
This episode was Metatron's redemption.
|
Anyone else watch the season finale? Found it awkward they said castiel was the only person like a brother or maybe it was family. I was like, what about bobby.

Everybody else that's been family to them is dead...
Liked the end of the season but introducing the English men of letters was a little abrupt. |
Yeah, the finale was anticlimactic and a bit ho-hum, but it was ok. I did laugh at the British version of the Men of Letters getting involved and acting pissed now that the Winchesters have essentially saved literally everything in the universe.
This was probably one of the better seasons of the last 4 or 5. I'll stick around to see where they take this next season, but I'm starting to think that this show might be losing steam as it goes down the road from here (they have just defeated a force on par with god, what could possibly be next?). |

It's amazing to me that it's lasted as long as it has. And Jenson Ackles is already talking about coming back. LMAO
I thought the last season was one of the stronger ones of the last ten years. It's going to be fun to watch how they decide to end it. I expect everyone dies. |
Quote:

Kripke had planned to end it at 5 seasons. That's why everything wrapped up so nicely at that point.

I was kind of sad the Wayward Sisters spin-off-didn't happen.
I wonder if they'll take one last shot at building a spin-off after the two failed ones (the first try was a 'bloodlines' spinoff, ended up being one of the worst episodes of the entire series). |

Would love to see Katie Cassidy one more time on this show. For reasons.
