I'd laugh and laugh if, after all that, K-Rod blows the save.

tk13 04-17-2010 08:38 PM

Great AB by Ludwick. Bunt with Pujols here, right?

Table. Set.

chefsos 04-17-2010 08:39 PM

No way he pitches to Pujols.

DeezNutz 04-17-2010 08:39 PM

What in the mother**** was that.

Epic, epic, stupidity.

LMAO LMAO LMAO

-King- 04-17-2010 08:39 PM

Why steal?
Posted via Mobile Device

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-17-2010 08:39 PM

I am going to ****ing murder Ryan Ludwick.

KC_Connection 04-17-2010 08:40 PM

Did TLR really just call a hit and run with Pujols?

tk13 04-17-2010 08:40 PM

That's twice now Ludwick has pulled a Jason Kendall.

DeezNutz 04-17-2010 08:40 PM

The only thing more embarrassing than the decision to steal was the umpire's out-call mechanics.

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-17-2010 08:40 PM

Even if you steal, YOU OPEN UP FIRST BASE AND THE ****ING PITCHER IS HITTING NEXT, DUMB ****!!

Miles 04-17-2010 08:40 PM

Ugh.

DeezNutz 04-17-2010 08:41 PM

Classic karma.

-King- 04-17-2010 08:41 PM

PUJOLS!!
Posted via Mobile Device

tk13 04-17-2010 08:41 PM

And Pujols delivers. And Ludwick really looks like an idiot.

KC_Connection 04-17-2010 08:41 PM

If it was a straight steal by Ryan Ludwick, why did Pujols swing?

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-17-2010 08:41 PM

And that would have tied the ****ing game, Ludwick, you cocksucking reerun.

Coach 04-17-2010 08:42 PM

Dumbass LaRussa screwed you with that shit assed hit n run.
Posted via Mobile Device

DeezNutz 04-17-2010 08:42 PM

Easily the most asinine managerial decision I've ever seen.

Trey Hillman is embarrassed for La Russa. (assuming the hit and run was called, of course, as evidence suggests)

DJ's left nut 04-17-2010 08:42 PM

That would be why you don't send Ludwick with Albert mother****ing Pujols hitting.

That was Hillman-esque.

You might want to blame your manager for that. It was a straight up hit and run.

Lmao, I really thought they would get a double play there.

DeezNutz 04-17-2010 08:44 PM

Hey, when I have one of the best hitters of all-time at the plate with a runner on 1B in a 1-0 game in the bottom of the 19th, I'm always thinking hit and run.

You can still swing to protect the runner in a non H&R situation.

Regardless, the fact that LaRussa will have Lohse hit but not pitch in this situation is why he should have his ****ing head cut off with a chainsaw.

chefsos 04-17-2010 08:45 PM

Wild pitch to tie it here...

I want comedy!

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-17-2010 08:46 PM

This game should end on a Molina inside the park HR

tk13 04-17-2010 08:46 PM

Base hit!! Tie game! LMAO

Epic.

Doesn't matter. Pujols swung. LaRussa costed you a run, no question.

And it looks like this game doesn't want to end...

Clutch hit Yadi!

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-17-2010 08:47 PM

ROFL ROFL ROFL

That's why good players save managers/coaches jobs.

Pujols and Molina, your two best position players just bailed out such a dumb ****ing decision.

DeezNutz 04-17-2010 08:47 PM

Baseball gods punishing La Russa, who has tried to quit.

tk13 04-17-2010 08:48 PM

Miles 04-17-2010 08:49 PM

Time for a "which one of you guys wants to pitch" in the dugout.

I swear it just looked like LaRussa was scolding Pujols in the dugout.

I'm seriously starting to hate that man right now.

He's already double-switched his $100 million cleanup hitter out of the game and pitched his last pitcher for 1 MFing inning.

He's decided passive incompetence won't work - he needs to resort to active sabotage.

In any event, Ludwick is not running there without permission of La Russa, whether it was a H&R or a straight steal (and by the looks of it, it was an obvious H&R).

This game would be over if it wasn't for that asinine call.

Mather back to 3b, Lopez to 2b, Skip to the mound.

Hell, I might just put Flip back out there. I don't think we pulled him from the game, he can still pitch again.

chefsos 04-17-2010 08:50 PM

I wonder who the last guy to blow a save in the ****ing 19th is.

tk13 04-17-2010 08:51 PM

LaRussa ready to stretch Mather out. He's obviously the long relief position player.

Miles 04-17-2010 08:51 PM

Oh man - more Mather.

DJ's left nut 04-17-2010 08:51 PM

More Mather - LaRussa is actively looking to lose this game.

This just pisses me off.

4th longest game in FRANCHISE history? WTF? I thought it would be fouth in history.

True story:

On Sept. 11, 1974, my Dad (a Cards fan) was in NY on a business trip. As he got dressed for dinner in his hotel room he watched the beginning of the Mets-Cards game on TV. Hours later, after dinner and after-dinner drinks, he returns to the hotel room, flips on the TV -- and they're still playing. He had to fly to Phoenix the next morning, so he didn't stay up to the very end.

tk13 04-17-2010 08:53 PM

You gotta go back to Lopez, at least he's throwing strikes. I have no idea why Mather is still in there. At least alternate them or something.

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-17-2010 08:53 PM

JUST ****ING BRING IN LOHSE!!

What is the record for most innings in a single game?

That should count as like 1/8 of a hit.

Lohse with a very Chris Duncan like grace out there.

tk13 04-17-2010 08:57 PM

It's almost criminal after all the struggle, LaRussa seems content to tank it out like that.... you can't do that to your team.

Miles 04-17-2010 08:57 PM

I only started watching really late. Was Holiday taken out on a double switch or something?

007 04-17-2010 08:58 PM

Gotta feel for fans that were DVRing this. They will miss more than half the game.

Reaper16 04-17-2010 08:58 PM

Even the patrons at Buffalo Wild Wings are tiring of this game.

Miles 04-17-2010 08:59 PM

Some excellent dance beats during MLB Extra Innings breaks this year.

Marcellus 04-17-2010 08:59 PM

You can almost pin this game on Ludwick's bad base running. The shit play where he got caught between home and 3rd and the bad steal decision.

Don't worry, no one from the media will ask him about it, and if by some chance they do, he'll scold them like they're a ****ing child.

Yup.

Always smart to double switch the pitcher into the spot behind the best hitter of the last 1/3 century.

The strikeout in the 12th with men on 2nd and 3rd and one down was fantastic. I love how 88 mph gas made him look like a high schooler.

Ludwick and Ryan have been ****ing abysmal.

I'm still not really sure why he decided to take Lopez out for Mather in the first place? Another hunch?
