I've said it before, your team is only as good as your kicker. I'll never understand it. Teams should be scouring the Earth for cold blooded kickers.

Generally if you got screwed by your kicker, it means that your team didn't play well enough. |

Never bet on a rookie QB on the road, unless that QB is Mark Sanchez.

**** yeah **** yeah |
Bengals mailing it in last week just proves that no player or team is above the game...and they paid for it big time today.
Jets could easily go on a wild card run with momentum created in part by default. |

I'm going to commit the cardinal sin here and say I'm not surprised. Seriously, the Jets beat the ****ing shit out of them a week ago, even if it was a home game. Wasn't that game pretty much what folks expected to happen?
Sweet gig for Sanchez, though, gets to win his first playoff game and only has to throw 15 passes. |

The Jets won that game because of their defense and their running game. That doesn't mean Sanchez sucks. Just that he got to ride the wave this week. Try expanding your mind beyond black and white concepts. |

But Sanchez didn't **** it up. That is more than you should expect from a rookie QB. |

12/15 of pa passes and slants is pretty impressive

I am not hating on Sanchez at all. They are moving on and the other team is going home. Martyball won. Hell our Chiefs of the 90's did the same thing, bend bend bend, dont break. |

Must. Discredit. Sanchez.
[gasp] Must. Continue. Illusion. PPPPIIIIIIIOOOOOLLLLLLLIIIIIIIIIIII!! [falls on sword] |

Sanchez had a really good game, although the reality is that he wasn't asked to do much. 15 passes for 189 yards is not exactly eye-popping, even completing 80% of them. For most quarterbacks, that's a good half. Acknowledging that isn't discrediting him. It's just a fact. Just like saying that he helped to execute their gameplan to perfection and managed the Jets offense as well as he ever has.
Besides, don't get so butthurt. It's not like anybody's talking about you. |

Sanchez is having a very Roethlisberger like 1st year.
Didnt win as many games as he did, but Big Ben was similiar that first year. Just manage the game and dont screw up. |

Looks like a bunch of washing machines on spin cycle...
Everyone is spinning Sanchez stats to discredit... Quite amusing... |

Rex Ryan has the number one defense in yardage and points given up. He's an excellent defensive coach. He's got the number one rushing offense in the NFL due to the offensive line (they've drafted well and added Faneca), Thomas Jones and rookie Shonne Green. They tried to improve their passing game with the acquisition of Braylon Edwards but it's clear they need more targets for Sanchez to be effective, although 189 yards, 12/15 and TD certainly doesn't suck. I fully expect their passing game to improve next year. But this year, Ryan's just coaching smart and playing to his team's strengths. I wouldn't be shocked to see them beat the Colts next week. |
Sanchez played well today. I have to give the kid credit. I think next week will be a bigger step. Next week, he will know he has to put up points to win. This week, he knew that the Bengals were offensively challenged and he didn't have to take any chances.
I will be happy to give him props next week if he lights it up. But, for today, he played well. |

Sanchez did a nice job of managing that game. Nothing more. |
Wins, no INT's, and some pretty nice passes just don't mean shit around these parts I guess.
