All at Kauffman Stadium, which isn't a home run park at all. Strange baseball shit.

You'd think Ned wouldn't pitch to him in that situation but you also think Ned would be smart enough to bunt the lead off runner over in the bottom of the 10th as well.....

petegz28 04-27-2018 09:41 PM

Cinci is actually winning tonight we may tie for worst team in the majors....

I like how KC has two sports writers named Rustin Dodd and Terez Paylor, both of which sound like spoonerisms of Dustin Rodd and Perez Taylor.

I mean, I had no delusions of grandeur when the season started, but I had no idea this team would be this bad.

Royals -140 favorites today with trevor oaks in his MLB debut. How. Why.

Yeah, me neither. I figured they could maybe at least be somewhat close to something resembling competitive through the summer. Oh well, at least the Dbacks can keep me engaged in baseball this season.

This team should be in the 70 to 80 win range.

PHOG 04-28-2018 12:32 PM

Let's Go Royals clap clap, clap clap clap :)

RickObie 04-28-2018 01:46 PM

It seems that we make the other teams pitcher look great and the other teams hitters look great - if we can overcome that we will be fine this year - especially with how dominate we’ve been at home so far.

petegz28 04-28-2018 01:58 PM

In the modern era, no team has won less than 36 games. We might just be the team to do that.

Chiefspants 04-28-2018 02:00 PM

What's the Magic Number for the #1 draft pick?

We’re going to get swept in a 5-game series at home by a team that coming in had virtually the same record.

Last week the talk was that we're not gonna lose 100 because we play the White Sox and the Tigers so much. At this point I'm pretty convinced that they are both better teams than the Royals.

We are not going to lose 100 games. We are going to lose 135 games.

duncan_idaho 04-28-2018 03:30 PM

They won’t be this bad the rest of the year. It would be historic.

But 100 losses and the first pick in the draft are certainly possibilities. And that’s OK.

White Sox 5-0 vs Royals, 3-16 vs everybody else

ROYALS WIN

Brilliant outing by Skoglund. Gordo with his first three RBIs.

BigCatDaddy 04-28-2018 09:35 PM

With a month in I am really liking that 900OPS on Soler. Seems like he still has room to grow as well.

Herrera also balling out should bump up that trade value

@JoshVernier610: Eric Skoglund said Tim Anderson "got lucky" with his first inning home run. Salvador Perez notes Anderson has never even played in a "f------ playoff game" so he doesn't know about playing in a truly exciting baseball game. #Royals

Meanwhile, in the 500 AB's, Ned Department.

Jorge Soler now has an OPS of over 900.

siberian khatru 04-29-2018 02:54 PM

Bases loaded, nobody out. Let’s see how they blow this.

petegz28 04-29-2018 02:56 PM

Bases loaded, 0 outs...watch the Royals **** this up....

petegz28 04-29-2018 02:58 PM

If the object of the game were to get as many men on base as you can without actually scoring, we would lead the league

petegz28 04-29-2018 02:59 PM

LMAO they are going to blow this.....WOW!

petegz28 04-29-2018 03:05 PM

And Gordon strikes out on ball 4 that would have given us the lead...

ROFL

Ned announced before the game that he's going to spin a wheel in the dugout to determine the closer each night.

Dartgod 04-29-2018 03:33 PM

The wheel of misfortune?

Two in a row for the Royals. Great game from Cutty and I love what I'm seeing from Soler.

tk13 04-29-2018 03:36 PM

I want Moose hitting HR’s, Duffy pitching shutouts, Duda hitting HR’s, Herrera pitching lights out, Merrifield playing like 2017 & Salvy being Salvy. What great trade pieces they will be. Will bring a haul.
