I'm surprised we're at 10pt Favorite over the Broncos. That seems like Vegas is having to work to get people to bet on them, which is weird because division games tend to be closer than you expect.

Chiefs have covered the spread every game this season and won every game at home by 10+ so Vegas is just following the pattern.

I made the mistake of watching the matchup segment on NFL Total Access.

Talk about Denver freaking homers. All they showed were highlights of Von Miller and Mahomes getting tackled for 2 yard gain.

"Von Miller, Von Miller, Von Miller, keep Mahomes in the pocket, the Chiefs defense sucks."

I can't wait to see the Broncos get pounded on Sunday.

I dont think the Donks have the coaching acumen to devise a new plan against KC. They will pretty much use the same looks with a few wrinkles thrown in. The early season altitude had a huge effect on the Chiefs...they looked lethargic. The fact it was at night played into that also...they had to essentially wait around all day while their bodies were getting reduced amounts of oxygen.

Andy Reid, though, will come at them in a different way on Sunday. They attempted very few long passes and I dont remember many jet-sweeps. Chiefs destroyed them @ Arrowhead with speed to the edges last year...completely neutered their pass rush.

Lack of crowd noise will reduce their effectiveness on the pash rush too... I expect Bolles to have a ruff game.

To me - mugshots seems more likely than not to have very asymmetrical faces. Maybe there's some connection to an imbalance in brain chemistry.

BlackOp 10-26-2018 02:06 AM

Just remember in the Donko's "epic" 45-10 victory over the Cardinals...Keesum had a 161 yards 1 TD/1 INT night and essentially 1/3 of those yards/TD came on a single busted coverage.

Donks are acting like this is their SB...KC is just happy the toughest part of their schedule is over...

Chiefs beat them silly...get out to an early lead and Keesum panics.

Wear your much tighter than it used to be Super Bowl champion shirt. Seems to work for Kramz. Also LOTS of antifreeze!

Also just to help you out... it’s been 1137 days since Dungver beat KC, we’re gonna run it up to 7 in a row against your team. So get your Casey Keesum jersey ready for Sunday.

Red Dawg 10-26-2018 06:29 AM

Key is to stop the run. Stack 9 in the box and make Keenum throw it. He can't beat anyone with his arm and we will win. Key on offense is obviously keep Mahome upright. Short passing attack and make Harris run all day chasing Hill. He said he ran 15 miles last game and normally runs under 11 in a game. Their secondary will be finished in the 4th and we win.

They'll run the same defense they did against the Bengals. And the Donks don't have AJ Green. Poor Donks.

Halfcan 10-26-2018 09:20 AM

I want to see Mahomes run his streak of 300-yard passing games to 7 straight and the Chiefs winning streak against the Cheating Donks to 7 as well.

5 TD's and no interception for Mahomes would be nice too.

Von Miller LB Ankle questionable Miller was confined to a limited role in practice due to an ankle injury and his status for Sunday's tilt against the Chiefs is clouded.

Of course he'll play. The question is whether or not he'll be effective. He wasn't particularly effective in Denver, despite him being at home, uninjured, and facing a QB that had never really seen him at full force before.

I think Denver is a broken team, not like Oakland or Pittsburgh broken, but an early stage broken team on the DECLINE while there is NO DOUBT that the Kansas City Chiefs are a team on a rapid INCREASE.

Kansas City finally gets a laugher against the Broncos:

The Miller ankle issue could be huge when you consider Shane Ray may be missing too. If he's out as well as some of the other big names then my word that's tough on them. This is especially bizarre when you consider they've had the extra rest.

Oh, and one thing folks don't bring up about our last game against them is our offense lost Watkins early. So they could afford to put more attention on Kelce and Tyreek (leaving Robinson to make two big catches In the game btw). But now Sammy is back and they also don't have one of their safeties, it's gonna be interesting to see what they do.

R Clark 10-26-2018 07:38 PM

Iam sure chiefs will win, but it is an afc west team and these games are always tuff. I'll feel way better when it's over and we come out with a Win.

It’s amazing that the Chiefs are at their literal highest point since 1970 and the Broncos are at their literal lowest point since the 70’s.

We have the best QB in the game and are legit super bowl contenders while Denver has Herm Edwards 2.0 as their coach, about to have back-to-back losing seasons for the first time in 20+ years and they have ownership problems.

This is our time. Best time to be a fan.

I don't think it matters much. Schwartz has pretty much owned Miller. I cannot remember an offensive lineman in my 40 years of watching football who dominated a one on one matchup against an elite pass rusher, and supposed elite defender, the way Schwartz has dominated Von Miller.

I remember when we signed Schwartz that Von Miller was sighted as one of the reasons we signed him. After the Denver game there was a stat that said in 7 career head to head matchups Schwartz had only given up 4.5 sacks to Miller, but had allowed ZERO in the last 4 meetings.

He isn't flashy, but he has started every game of his career, and has never missed a game.

Let's talk about the Broncos

Thinking about who is hurt or who is playing for the Broncos in this game or what they will try to do matters about as much as what some random directional school is doing leading up to playing Alabama.

I wouldn't say we are at the highest point since 1970, as Montana did give this city and fanbase hope for the first time in decades, and we were one game away from the Super Bowl.

I think Mahomes has given this city and fanbase the same level of hope as Montana, but it feels different because Mahomes is ours. We drafted him. He isn't a handmedown, or an aging star trying to recapture one last ounce of glory.

And he also makes the fanbase feel like we won the lottery. We chose so poorly in taking Fuller and then Blackledge.

When you pick Fuller 23rd overall, and some guy named Joe Montana is chosen 59 spots later, and a few years later you try again and you pick Blackledge 7th overall, and Jim Kelly goes at 14, and Dan Marino goes 27, as a fan it makes you sick knowing that you missed on 3 HOF quarterbacks.

The collective psyche of Chiefs fans took a beating, and its hard to shake that off. For example, while I was super pumped that we made a bold move and aggressively moved up to take a QB in the first round, when Watson was picked two spots later I said well shit, Watson just made the HOF, because that's just what happens when the Chiefs take a QB in the first round.

But all of that is changing now, and we finally have the QB that will make other fanbases sick when they look back at Mahomes' career in 20 years. Bears and Bills fans in particular will feel sick, knowing they took Trubisky over Mahomes, and they traded down out of the #10 spot, respectively.

I believe the donks are putting too much pressure on themselves prior to this deal. In fact, I think they've gone a little nuts over there.

I've listened to a number of their press conferences and most of the guys (including the HC and GM) are referring to this game as a "must win" and a "season defining" contest. Okay, then ... if that's how you feel. Those seem like odd descriptions of a game you play halfway through the season (even considering it's against a division opponent).

Add in the bizarre episodes of the past week, the rumors about key players being on the trading block, and the legal problems associated with ownership, and you have all the makings of a team that's self-destructing before our very eyes. This game should be the final nail in Vance's coffin and spell the end of the donks' 2018 season.

And are we 100% certain that wasn't real cocaine?

KC has outscored opponents 28-0 in the 1 quarter at home.

Denver will get behind and Keesum will start forcing the issue. 2 INT day as he tries to do his best Mahomes impression with 25% of the arm strength....I think Ford might get him for a strip.

I dont think this game will be close at all...Denver has played KC tight in the thin air. KC has taken them to the woodshed @Arrowhead.

Do you guys remember how Wally went with the Jumbo Package (one of my favorite all-time appellations and very meaningful in my life, BTW) at the end of the Stoolers game?

I liked that decision and the result (9 Hunt yards on 1st down while the Stoolers knew what was coming and couldn't stop it).

I'm simply mentioning it because I think we can run on these guys now that Spencer is all warmed up and everything. I predict 1 million rushing yards on Sunday.

Hard to run smack when your quarterback is Fleece em, and the opposing quarterback is running on God mode. Also having VaJona as your HC nullifies any arguments.

That's why I bet the over-27, in the first half. Along with the points -6.5.

FAX

denver is 30th def in yards rushing allowed
I am thinking 150 hunt 50 ware a nice even 200

Watching your spirits rise this season makes me giggle. It's all going to come crumbling down.

Based on...?

An organizational curse? The ghost of Alex Smith? The return of Martyball?

And you're calling someone else reeruned? Derp!

Past results are only predictive of future performance if the cast of characters is unchanged.

Mahomes changes the game entirely. And you know it.

Even if true (doubtful) but even if we are one and done so what? A first year starter that's setting the league on fire I think as Chiefs fans collectively have all ready exceeded expectations for the year. We will be breaking down that Super Bowl door before you know it.

Not the same Chiefs of yeaster years.

Well, at least one of them is trying to talk smack. Too bad it's incredibly weak. But, maybe that's why he has a whopping 56 posts in 18 years. He should just stick to lurking.

The best part about low IQ comments like this is that I'm also a Capitals fan and I heard the same stuff about them for years. Funnily enough the morons who repeated that rhetoric are nowhere to be found now, just like this tool in future.

Funny thing is this season is a success no matter what. We found our quarterback, and are gonna be absolutely loaded in 2019

Crikey. Here's a rare sight. A Broncos troll in it's natural habitat. Innit beautiful?
