Now it’s starting to make sense.

Mecca 12-07-2018 07:06 AM

To be fair to the guy, his mom died during training camp something like that could easily explain a shit year for him.

pugsnotdrugs19 12-07-2018 07:07 AM

I’m pretty sure Shady McCoy wouldn’t have been saying congratulations and good luck to KB yesterday if he was a cancer..

staylor26 12-07-2018 07:23 AM

Lol wtf has Benjamin done to be labeled a “cancer”?

He’s just lazy, but maybe a legit QB, shot at a SB, and a new contract will be enough to motivate him.

Like somebody said, if the Pats make this move, it gets praised.

Red Dawg 12-07-2018 07:41 AM

This guy is not a cancer. The crap with Cam is over blown and dead. Nothing has gone on with him that should give him that label.

Bob went on a rant this morning just about KB and it sounded stupid as hell just like he always does. Andy knows what he's doing.

He's started shit with Cam Newton talking about how he's a terrible QB to the media. He kind of deserves that team cancer label.

Lol?

You guys realize in 4 wide we can go Kelvin, Sammy, Tyreek, Travis now?

Meaning one of them is likely to get a Linebacker, god help them if they try to cover Travis of Kelvin with a CB

Abba-Dabba 12-07-2018 08:19 AM

I'm down with this signing. Very little down side. The upside could be great in the postseason.

Biggest douche in the NFL.

Why Not? 12-07-2018 08:24 AM

It's a no risk, good reward move. Veach and friends know that this defense isn't stopping shit in the playoffs so the Chiefs are maximizing their ability to score 40 a game. You add a guy whose been seen as a 1 or a 2 in the past(hasn't played like it, but to be fair, Cam and Tyrod/this crop of Bills muck aren't PMII)as the 4th receiving option. Yes, please.

It's a low risk move. He probably will never play and even if he did he can at least use his big frame to block on screens and runs.

We miss that when Sammy is out.

Sure-Oz 12-07-2018 08:52 AM

Absolutely zero risk...he could be cut in a week or 2 if they don't like what they see. Hopefully he helps

pugsnotdrugs19 12-07-2018 08:53 AM

Jarvis Jenkins released to make room. Interesting.

Hammock Parties 12-07-2018 08:55 AM

pugsnotdrugs19 12-07-2018 08:56 AM

They picked Justin Hamilton over Jenkins, which I don’t have a problem with but it is noteworthy considering Hamilton never plays.

What receiver do we have in the short passing game? Reid had to have picked up on what I did. We were giving Harris lots of targets and we can't give kelce that kind of insanely high usage. We've got to establish a short passing game now that we've lost hunt. Benjamin doesn't separate well but he's a huge target and we've seen what our fearless qb does even with receivers who aren't open.

Watkins 1st

Kelce 1st round talent
Mahomes 1st
Fisher 1st

RunKC 12-07-2018 09:07 AM

Never seen so many people triggered about a backup receiver.

This season is going to rely on Pat’s arm and Veach knows that. Can’t bitch about the guy trying to improve the 5th receiver when Dieter and Kemp are on the field.

I argued with somebody yesterday because they thought that Kelvin was better than Watkins and Conley. Conley is debatable. But definitely not Watkins. But this same guy believes that the Cowboys will sign Kareem Hunt and he will take them to the Super Bowl this year..

ChiefBlueCFC 12-07-2018 09:27 AM

Not sure I really follow this signing. I guess if Andy gets the best out of him.. only thing that I can think of is they don't know when Sammy will actually play/be at full strength.

Robinson isn't showing it in practice or he'd have already supplanted Conley.

Conley has been rock solid this year. Numbers aren't huge, but his catches have mostly been extremely significant in one way or another.

I assume that this has been covered, but I really didn't want to go through 500+ posts to verify. But I read that Jarvis Jenkins was released to free up a roster spot. That seems like a good player to drop. Has Jenkins even been active a single game this season?

He's played about 23% of the defensive snaps this year.

The world looks different without kareem hunt. We need guys who can win down low so we can open up the deep half of the field. There's a reason kelce and Harris saw a shitload of targets last week. Id bet you'll see Benjamin get jump balls and a healthy dose of middle in traffic catches. And of course, the red zone. Will be really interesting to see Benjamin paired with a qb who's willing to throw to him even when he's not open.
