So, according to the fine morality police at the KC Star, virtually everyone got it wrong as per the Tyreek Hill situation EXCEPT the KC Star. Interestingly, the folks closest to the situation (and who likely have much more info on the situation than the wizards at the Star), did not find that Hill committed a crime, nor did he violate the NFL personal conduct policy. BUT, the soothsayers at the Star magically deduced that Hill is simply a cretin who deserves to be punished....apparently outside of the law! The Kansas DA could not find enough to prosecute, the NFL could not find enough to suggest that he violated the NFL personal conduct policy, and the Chiefs could not find enough to boot the guy off the team (as they did with K Hunt just last year). Sadly, these entities apparently do not have the supreme vision that the Star does.

You’ve gotta admit that it’s pretty damn impressive that the Star could conjure up The Proper Answer without facts. Kelce was 3 yards past the sticks, and although bracketed (inside and over) as you say, he was clearly open to Mahomes' eye line. Considering Kelce's clutch hands, a fastball low and outside was a high percentage throw.

The far less probable completion was the throw to Hill from the far sideline to the near hash that traveled 35 north/south air yards and another 20 or so east/west to the left hash. Interestingly, Mahomes had no footing on the throw having utilized the leaping cross-body trebuchet effect.

The most fascinating aspect of that particular play was Hill's route. He lined up tight Z (I suppose that's what they would call it) at the right hash and ran a deep crosser that took him to the far numbers. He then reversed course (as Mahomes scrambled right) coming to the left hash and another 10 yards deep. He didn't really come back to the throw much at all (as the play was called at the time), just attacked the ball, then cut toward the LOS, and away from the backer and the deep coverage in order to find the open field after the catch.

A play for the ages, really. It never should have worked, actually.

Kids and animals can tell if someone is a good person. Reek has always interacted with kid fans with class- from giving sick kids presents at Children's Mercy at Christmas time, to giving out his touchdown footballs, to videos like this. Taking time out to race all the kids is pretty cool and a story they will never forget. I know this does not fit the Media Monster he is portrayed to be so his charity and fan interaction never gets covered.
