The Dallas Cowboys select Pete Werner, LB, Ohio State
The Cowboys almost took Werner at #115 (which Staylor can attest to) and are absolutely thrilled that he fell to #138. The Cowboys had a 3rd round grade on Werner and view him as incredible value at the end of the 4th. The Cowboys draft so far is not flashy, but the team is very happy with how things are playing out. |
MahomesMagic sent me his pick
The New England Patriots select Chris Rumph, EDGE, Duke |
The Pittsburgh Steelers select Kendrick Green, OC/OG, Illinois
|
Great pick.
And thank you for saving me from the wrath of Chiefs fans after going OL with 3 of my first 5 picks lol. But: Cosmi - Thuney - Meinerz/Green - Green/Meinerz - Niang That’s a great OL for 2022-2025. |

For those 4 years, you could possibly get solid to elite OL play with everybody but Thuney on rookie deals. This would allow you to spend money on weapons and defense. |
A vent cover pops out near the stage.
|
A face appears inside the vent.
"Is this Nakatomi Plaza?", he asks. https://img.cinemablend.com/quill/4/...20e0514777.jpg |
"It's not? Well, yippee-ki-yay, m***********s."
He pulls himself back into the vent, then stops. "Oh, and the Los Angeles Rams select Wyatt Hubert, DE, Kansas State. Welcome to the party, pal." |
Green Bay Packers Select: Dan Moore Jr, OT, Texas A&M

Parsons is a bonafide stud. McGrone is emerging but still has coverage issues and can't hold Parsons' jock coming downhill. There is no ****ing comparison, at least yet. |

Just now seeing this. Only thing I’ll say is if the Jets pass on Zach Wilson for Kyle Pitts then Jets fans will have the guillotine ready for Joe Douglas in Times Square.

He has to answer some questions pertaining to character however... |
An athletic young man from the 1890s enters the stage, wearing his vintage Yale football jersey.
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...ffelfinger.jpg |
He nods toward the audience.
"My name is Pudge Heffelfinger. I started playing football at a young age," he says. "I was born in Minneapolis, and when I was in high school I would suit up for the University of Minnesota." https://digitalcollections.hclib.org...ighlightTerms= |
"Statistically, the best team I ever played on was the 1888 Yale football team. We went 13-0 and outscored our opponents 698 to 0 on the season. But I personally thought our 1891 team was the best team I ever played on. We went 13-0, outscored our opponents 488-0, and we were named the national champions. Here's a picture of the team. I'm the guy at top right."
https://www.frankhinkey.com/resource...=1493598975117 |
"But you may know me best for another thing. You see, I was kind of the guy who started this whole thing. I am the first professional football player ever. I was paid $500 by the Allegheny Athletic Association to play in a game against this Pittsburgh Athletic Club. Here's the receipt. This is the equivalent of about $15,000 today for one game."
http://stmedia.stimg.co/NEWname.png?w=970 |
"So I'm here today to announce the pick of another young man who, if he applies himself, might one day also get paid $15,000 for one game. Good luck to you."
He looks at the paper. "The Minnesota Vikings select Osa Odighizuwa, DE, UCLA." http://stmedia.stimg.co/desktop.jpg?w=970 |
Pudge dispatches a Western Union telegram to the next drafter on the list to let him know he's on the clock.

The Kansas City Chiefs select Jamar Johnson, S, Indiana
I know, I know. “WTF are you doing staylor? No edge rusher?” I’m sorry guys, but the Chiefs are getting value in every single round here while filling other positions of need (for now and the future), but it just so happens that the stars haven’t aligned for an edge rusher just yet. There are still a handful of guys I like, and if this were a real draft, I’d probably be using my 2 5ths to trade up and get one. But when you’re picking at the bottom of every round, you absolutely have to get value as much as you can. McGrone and Johnson are terrific values in the 4th. I have both of those guys inside my top 100, so I’d be crazy to pass them up at the bottom of the 4th. There are also a few free agents left, and I’m pretty confident that we end up with 1. If I were the GM, I’d be signing somebody like Ingram immediately after the draft. |
The Jacksonville Jaguars select Stone Forsythe, OT, Florida
The Jaguars get two young tackles in Hudson and Forsythe to push Robinson and Taylor who still haven’t proven themselves. |

This will be a hot take for some... but Clark, Taco, Danna, and Ward spelled with Chris Jones playing 30-50% of his snaps at end (as rumored thanks to the Jarran Reed signing) is a servicable unit without any additions. Sure, it would be great to upgrade now with the recognition that we probably lose Clark and Reed in 2022... But it's not a must. I'd also argue that any edge drafted after the 2nd probably doesn't provide an immediate impact in 2021 in contrast with Taco, Danna, and Ward. If we don't get one early, hold off until next year (no issue still taking a late flyer again like Danna). Clark-Reed-Nnadi/Saunders-Jones (when Jones is split wide) is probably in the top half if not top third of starting units. |

The New York Jets select Bryce Hargrove, OG, Pittsburgh..

Someone sold me on Jordan Smith UAB as an edge this week. He went 4th round here
Would be thrilled if KC grabbed him 3rd round this year. |
The Houston Texans draft WR Marlon Williams, UCF.

The Cincinnati Bengals select Divine Deablo, S, Virginia Tech Bengals were bad on offense without Burrow, but they were even worse on defense. Can't hurt to have one of those robber-types. Has the size, length, and speed, so if he gets good coaching, he's a critical piece to the Bengals becoming good again. |
Titty has been PM'd
|
The Philadelphia Eagles Select: Pooka Williams, RB, Kansas
|
With the 151st pick, the Carolina Panthers select Michael Carter, RB, North Carolina.
I guess it's time to stop the slide for a mid-day-two player. The Panthers get a reserve back that can come in and spell Christian McCaffrey and provide them with a similar skill set in more of a Clyde Edwards-Helaire body. They just keep movin' baby. |

The Broncos score some versatility for their defense while getting someone on their board who has second-round value. The question is, does he have the durability to succeed?
The Denver Broncos select Talanoa Hufanga, S, USC. |
The Detroit Lions select Jamie Newman, QB, Wake Forest
|
The New York Jets select Camryn Bynum, CB, California.
|
Tthe San Francisco 49ers select Joshuah Bledsoe, S, Missouri

A smallish figure shuffles onto the stage, wearing a harmonica and carrying a guitar.
"Ladies and gentlemen," the announcer says. "To make Minnesota's next pick, we are proud to present Minnesota native, Nobel prize winner, and folk singing legend Bob Dylan!" https://img.apmcdn.org/e2db34e0e0314...521-dylan6.jpg |
Dylan steps to the microphone and then plays the first few bars of "The Times They Are A' Changin'" as the crowd goes wild.
He nods in acknowledgement, then stops and opens a piece of paper. "Wida pi'nna inffldrf, da Mnnsa Vngs seljannen gahtete." He waves at the crowd and leaves the stage to great applause. https://static.independent.co.uk/s3f...ebp&quality=75 |
There is a moment of confusion. Roger Goodell steps out, then speaks to someone off stage. He disappears, then reappears and walks to the podium.
"Thank you, Mr. Dylan," he says. "We appreciate your announcement that the Minnesota Vikings select Jack Anderson, G, Texas Tech." |

Personally, the Alex Smith or Jameis Winston options seem really servicable for a season before drafting QBOTF next year. I'd probably go with Winston out of those two. |
I'll observe that the Vikings sure have a lot of picks. I've taken eight guys so far and still have another pick in this round.

****OFFICIAL 2021 Saccopoo CP Mock Draft Thread****
The Los Angeles Chargers select Janarius Robinson, DE, Florida State
So far, the Chargers have had a perfect confluence of luck - with need and BPA matching up at many of their earlier picks. Scanning the board, the Chargers see a DE with the upside to be a dynamic bookend for locked-up franchise cornerstone Joey Bosa, and don't hestitate to shoot their shot at him. With Robinson, the Chargers gain someone with first-round physical ability and hope that improved coaching can unlock his full potential. |
The Arizona Cardinals select Chuba Hubbard, RB, Oklahoma State

Sfeihc sent me his pick
The Buffalo Bills select Drake Jackson, OG/C, Kentucky |
The Las Vegas Raiders select, Paddy Fisher, LB, Northwestern
Just seems like an old school guy Gruden would want. |
The Washington Football Team selects TE Noah Gray, Duke.

The Chicago Bears select Paris Ford, S, Pittsburgh.

The Indianapolis Colts select Justin Hilliard, LB, Ohio State

The announcer's voice booms over the speakers.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we are proud to introduce our next draft selector, Mr. Ralph Samuelson!" |
Ralph comes out on stage. The announcer continues.
"Minnesota is the Land of 10,000 Lakes. Before Ralph came along, it was not possible to ski on any of them. Because as we all know, Ralph invented water skiing in 1922 on Minnesota's Lake Pepin!" https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped..._Samuelson.jpg |
Ralph looks around in mild confusion. "I'm seriously the most famous person you can find at this point?"
Goodell shrugs. "Okay, then. The Minnesota Vikings select CJ Verdell, RB, Oregon." |
Give me 10 minutes to make my pick, guys. Sorry about that
|
With John Dorsey gone, the Browns dedicate this quick-twitch midget gadget selection to his memory.
The Cleveland Browns select Demetric Felton, WR/RB, UCLA |
Can somebody PM the next guy?
|
The Jacksonville Jaguars select Derrick Barnes, LB, Purdue
|
SNR grabbed my guy...
|
The Baltimore Ravens select Joshua Kaindob, EDGE, Florida State.
In their last pick in the 5th round, the Ravens continue to reinforce their pass rush with a long, rangy athlete who has all the physical tools and could work as a 5-tech or a stand-up OLB. |
